Designing Project Audit Questions & Assigning Users

The world’s first free BYOD retail merchandising software as a servicewww.skemaz.net

Page 2: 07 - Dessigning Project Audit Questions and Assigning Users

Project Audit Questions

• Each project has its own set of in-store audit questions and any combination of projects can be assigned to any combination of Store Groups.• This flexibility combined with the ease with which audit questions are

created allows you to match just about any project brief you may receive.

Page 3: 07 - Dessigning Project Audit Questions and Assigning Users

Question Types

• Questions are designed in the Designer app and answered in the Auditor app. The results (answers) appear in reports.• Because reports are most useful when they allow you to drill into just the

issues (rather than hunting for elusive data in huge reports), you are able to design questions with pre-set answer values for four of the following question types.• When a question is answered the app flags an answer as being an

"exception" (issue) if the exception condition is met (see the individual explanations that follow).• At present there are ten questions types that you can design into Projects

(this may change as enhancements are made to the system over time).

Page 4: 07 - Dessigning Project Audit Questions and Assigning Users

Question Type 1: 2 Decimal Currency

Answers to this question type are formatted to 2 decimal placesThe "Exception Value" is a decimal number and the "Exception Test" value can be:

• Less: Flags an exception if the answer amount is less than the "Exception Value".

• Greater: Flags an exception if the answer amount is greater than the "Exception Value".

• Price Less: Flags an exception if the answer amount is less than the product price by the "Exception Value".

• Price Greater: This is the opposite of "Price Less".

• Difference: If the difference (plus or minus) between the entered answer and the Product Price is greater than the "Exception Value" the answer is flagged as an exception.

Question Type 2: Add Existing Picture

Photos taken outside of the Auditor app can be added to store audit records in the Auditor app from a PC or Mac.

Otherwise the photo comes directly from the merchandiser’s mobile device camera when answering this question.

Page 6: 07 - Dessigning Project Audit Questions and Assigning Users

Question Type 3: Date

Records a date e.g. a planned future date to train store staff.

Page 7: 07 - Dessigning Project Audit Questions and Assigning Users

Question Type 4: Duration

The user enters a Start and End time with the Duration being calculated e.g. “Travel Time”

Page 8: 07 - Dessigning Project Audit Questions and Assigning Users

Question Type 5: Multiple Select

Values entered into fields Choice01 – Choice10 are seen in the Auditor app as choice options of which 1 or more may be selected • Flags an exception if any choice matches the "Exception Value".

• When merchandisers answer multiple select questions, separate answers are created for each of the selections. This allows you to filter on individual selections.

E.g. For a multiple select question of “Schematic Issues” with choice options 1. “Wrong schematic”, 2. “Rebuilt the schematic” and 3. “Wrong facings count” and where the exception value is “Wrong schematic”, if a merchandiser selects all 3 choices then all 3 choices will have 10 added to the Exception Result. Exception Result calculations are explained in detail shortly.

• If any of the answers match the "Exception Value" then because the single question was flagged all answers are flagged as exceptions.

Question Type 6: Number No Decimals

Numeric data will be formatted without decimals• Less: Flags an exception if the answer amount is less than the "Exception Value".

• Greater: Flags an exception if the answer amount is greater than the "Exception Value".

• Equal: Flags an exception if the answer amount is equal to the "Exception Value".

Question Type 9: Text

Page 13: 07 - Dessigning Project Audit Questions and Assigning Users

Question Type 10: YesNo

The Auditor app user can choose Yes, No or N/A (not applicable).• Flags an exception if the answer matches the Exception Value (Yes or No).

A look at the Questions.csv file in your sample data

• Audit answers matching the “Exception Value” flags the answer as an “Exception”.• Some of the above Question Types require and “Exception Test” (what to look for e.g. “Less”).• Where you see a value in the “Exception Test” column then the “Exception Value” determines

what to test against.
