The Yokogawa Field Instrumentation Training Simulator is designed to incorporate the fundamental principles of field instrumentation

The facility can be used to give hands on training to apprentices, artisans, technicians, technologists and engineers in the instrumentation field

The simulator can be used to teach principle of operation, calibration (local and remote) and fault finding techniques

Features:

The facility is equipped to comply with the latest Control & Instrumentation trade test outcomes incorporating flow, level, temperature, pressure and cascade control

Compact design for portability and to save on space. (Dimensions: 1800mm (H) x 680mm (W) x 1150mm (L))

Provides a safe environment for learning without the fear of tripping a live plant

Principle of operation can be taught as well as setup and ranging of instruments using local display, handheld or remote software like PactWare, LoopLink or Fieldmate

Faults can be induced to train delegates on fault finding techniques

Can be used as a stand-alone system or integrated with a DCS

DCS Training Simulator

The Yokogawa DCS Training Simulator is designed to create a safe learning environment

The facility can be integrated with a Field Instrumentation Simulator to create a real life plant scenario

With 16x Analog Inputs, 16x Analog Outputs, 32x Digital Inputs and 32x Digital Outputs the training possibilities are endless

The DCS system also comes with Test Function allowing the user to simulate real life plant scenarios

Field Control Unit with I/O cards in a portable case

1 x Engineering / Operator station with dual monitors

Fully functional license with Test Function for maximum plant simulation possibilities

Integrated Training: Field Instrumentation Simulator and DCS

DCS PANEL

The DCS can be connected to the Field Instrumentation Training Simulator to perform PID control from the DCS

Engineering Workstation

An Operator / Engineering Station with Dual screens can be connected to Operate and Monitor the Plant

All the necessary licensing are also included

Integrated Training: Field Instrumentation Simulator and DCS

• The DCS (Distributed Control System) is connected to the Field Instrumentation Training Simulator

• The DCS sends and receives 4-20mA signals to control the level of TANK2

• A control loop is used to control the inflow to TANK2, by opening and closing VLV001

• The outflow of TANK2 can be varied by VLV002 and PUMP2 or a manual valve

• Proportional, Integral and Derivative (PID) settings can be changed to control the PV (Process Value) of the level at the SV (Set Value)

• A disturbance to the control can be created by adjusting the output valve
