Paxton (9.0,5,0,0,2,4) recorded his first career complete game shutout,allowing only 5 hits and striking out 4. Paxton throw 104 pitches, 64 strikes. DH Stefen Romero(3x4, 2 R, HR, 5 RBI) led the team with 3 hits, while setting a season-high with 5 RBI, includinghitting a grand slam home run with 1 out in the 7th innings.     COMPLETE GAME SHUTOUT: LH James Paxton tossed his first career shutout as the Tacoma Rainiers blanked the Tucson Padres 7-at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium on Monday night. Paxton limited the Padres to 5 hits, all singles, and walked 2 with 4 strikeouts over career-high 9.0 innings of work.J ames Paxtons 9.0-inning shutout win on Monday was the first recorded by a Rainiers pitcher since fellowLH Chris Seddon tossed 9.0 scoreless frames in a win at Colorado Springs on J une 15, 2010. Prior to Monday, the longest start ofPaxtons career was 7.0 innings (Aug. 12, 2011 vs. Huntsville).

    PCL ALL-STAR TEAM: LHP Brian Moran and OF Carlos Peguero have been selected to represent the PCL in the 2013 Dolan AutoGroup Triple-A All-Star Game. This years event, which pits PCL All-Stars against All-Stars from the International League, is scheduled tobe played on Wednesday, J uly 17th at Aces Ballpark in Reno, Nevada. Moran, 24, earned his first All-Star selection in his second seasonwith the Rainiers. The left-hander leads Tacomas ranks second among PCL relievers after producing a rate of 12.73 strikeouts per nineinnings pitched this season. Peguero, 26, is also set to make his first Triple-A All-Star appearance in his 8th season since signing with thMariners as a non-drafted free agent in 2005. This season marks the 2nd in as many years that the Rainiers have had 2 players featured the Triple-A All-Star Game.

Marder(1x2, R, HR, 2 RBI), Proscia,2B Chris Taylor(1x3, R) and 3B Ramon Morla (1x3, R) each recorded one of the teams 4 hits.Starter Chance Ruffin (6.0,6,2,2,2,3) allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 3.0 innings, but didnt figure into the

    decision.
