LEGEND and Details of the Sites. 1 Site of Pinden End Farm Brickworks. J & B Martin, Crayford & Fawkham Ltd 1912 -1922. c1945 H. J. Southey was the owner and 'Bill' Simes the Foreman. 2 Site of Charles and Daniel Rutter's Brickworks (now Dussek Campbell site) 1870 -1907. Rutter's also worked the brickearth south of Howbury Lane. ( 1860, 1897 & 1909 OS Map - Crayford Brickworks). The Crayford Brickfields (sites 2 or 7) were occupied by John Eastwood (Mrs.) 1828-1832. John Hutchins 1839. Lucas Brothers 1867-1870. 3 Site of Brickmaker's cottages (1869 OS Map) by 1909 the works were south of Heath Lane (site 4) and this site was noted as sand and gravel pits. The Pearson family had these sites (3 & 4) with William Pearson 1871-1899. Harry Steadman Pearson 1903-1909, H S Pearson & Son 1869-1918. 4 Site of Brickworks in 1909 (OS Map).
