Online courses take as much time to complete as face-to-face classes - the difference being that your time is spent in front of a computer and you choose when you will learn. Be sure you're willing to devote enough time on a regular basis to be successful.

The Troy University online course management system is Blackboard.Links to Blackboard can be found on the Troy University website. Students may access their online course any time they have Internet connectivity. http://troy.blackboard.com is the Troy Blackboard site. When you first log in, use the last four digits of your social for the password.

Every Troy University student is provided an email account.

Be sure to check your email regularly and empty the Trash after deleting mails. This will prevent your mailbox from going over quota.

Web Express is the location where students can register, check schedules, receive grades, and review financial accounts, etc.

To find out your user name, access Web Express and click on STUDENTS – then What’s my user ID? Follow the instructions for retrieving your ID information. Your user name for Blackboard, email, and Web Express will be the same, BUT the passwords will be different unless you change them in each area.
