NCMA Boston Website Project

• Problem: – SharePoint (SP) sites are confusing and not user

friendly– SP sites can be time-intensive for routine updates and

training new users every 1 to 2 years• Not reasonable for already busy professionals

– Development of a professional looking website can be intimidating and expensive (>$10K)• Not achievable for many chapters

– Lack of consistent look feel and content of chapter websites

Lessons Learned

• Shamelessly ‘steal’ content from National and other chapters

• Make a group decision on whether to add bios and pictures of Board members

• Use a document sharing site like Google Drive so others can work on the content with you

• Set firm deadlines during the Chapter-specific content generation phase and stick to them
