Lesson 36 Dinah
Instructions:
1) Take a look at the music below. What do you notice? How many things can you find that you recognize? Can you find a Treble Clef? Can you find four sixteenth notes (tiki‐tiki)?
2) Point to the rhythms while singing the rhythm words “tiki‐tiki ti‐ti, etc.”
3) Try pointing to the note heads while singing the solfa. The first line is: “do do do do do mi so mi so mi”.
4) Try to play Dinah on the piano. Use the G Major Pentascale (RH finger 1 on G).
Playing Tip: Let the wrist bounce with relaxed fingers close to the keys to help play the fast sixteenth notes. Did you notice?
Sometimes rhythms can flip upside‐down if the note heads go above the middle line of the staff. Can you find some eighth notes (ti‐ti) that look upside‐down? Don’t worry—this is normal and you’ll see this often in music.

Lesson 36 – Part 2 Dinah
Instructions:
1) Take a look at the music below. Can you find the D. C. al fine? This means to go back to the beginning and play again until you reach the Fine. (pronounced FEE-nay)
2) Since you already know lines 1 & 2 (from the last lesson), focus on lines 3 & 4 during your practice. When you are ready, try playing the entire song without stopping.
Playing Tip: Let the wrist bounce with relaxed, curved fingers close to the keys to help play the fast sixteenth notes.
