Halmstads Segelsällskap and DF Racing Sweden invite to Dragonforce65 Class Open Nordic Championship to be held in Halmstad, Sweden, 13-14 October 2018. Host Club: Halmstads Segelsällskap www.hss1910.nu
1. Event Schedule. Friday 12th October: Registration – from 15.00 to 17.00 hrs. Welcoming hamburgers and something to drink will be served at 18:00 for a small fee. Saturday 13th October: Registration – from 08.00hrs until 09.30hrs Briefing at 09.45 hours. Racing will commence not less than 15 minutes following briefing. No race will start after 16.30 hours. Any race in progress at 17.00 hours will be abandoned. Regatta dinner at the hotel at 19:00, to attend and receive menu, pls email Jonas Samson [email protected] 14th October. Briefing at 09.15 hours. Racing will commence not less than 15 minutes following Briefing. No race will start after 15.00. Price giving ceremony not later than 15:30.
2. Location. Småbåtsgatan Halmstad Sweden.
3. Entry and Eligibility. All participating boats must be registered with, and display a sail number issued by DF65 National associations. Closing date for entries is Friday 5th October 2018. After the closing date late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organising club and additional late entry fee.
4. Scoring and Racing System. The races will be carried out in accordance with the HMS. Maximum number of entries are 50. There will be no more than 3 groups.With maximum no of entries there will be 4 boats promoted. With fewer than 34 entries 6 boats will be promoted.
Heat selection for Race 1 will be distributed by the organisations discretion.
EntriesEntries are made online. We shall submit a prioritised entry list, competitors are welcome to enter more than 10 candidates/Nordic country, however the following will apply when more than 10 entries are submitted. Everybody is invited and a waiting list will be used whenever a country fills the 10 spots.
Stage 1Each Nordic country is allocated 10 spaces. Non Nordic entrants are allocated 10 spaces.
Stage 2, not later then sept 10.Available spots by this date will fill from each Nordic country that has 11 or more entrants, with a date / time factor. This entrants list will be published not later then sept 16 among an email with payment details.
Stage 3Non Nordic entries will not be given additional spaces unless there are available spaces in stage 3.Non Nordic entries will be given places in the order that the entries is received, date / time factor.
5. Entry Fees - Event entry fee is 650SEK. This will be paid to the arranging club, from their webpage.Please ensure that your name and sail no. (example ”SWE123”) is included in the payment reference. Overseas competitors are able to enter using the online entry form and can make payment by the following option: by bank transfer to Halmstads Segelsällskap (please indicate clearly the name of the competitor and sail no. (As above example) in the payment reference where possible); Entry to this event will not be confirmed unless cleared funds have been received by the organisation by the closing date.
6. Sailing Instructions – The event will be governed by: Racing Rules of Sailing as amended by RRS Appendix E. DF65 Restricted Class Rules. The Race Officer reserves the right to use observers drawn from the competitors. Direct judgement is applied. No protest procedures after racing will be applied and may delegate the right to impose penalties on participants in the regatta. Measurement – The race committee may at any time during the event measure any boat or rig to ensure compliance with the Dragonforce 65 Restricted Class Rules.
7. Entry List. Sail Numbers and Frequency Allocation. Will be displayed on the race management notice board and www.dragonforce65.se (You will receive a confirmatory email as soon as your entry is recorded by the online system) Competitors will be notified of necessary changes in the event of a clash of sail numbers.
8. Disclaimer. No medical cover is provided or implied by the Model Yachting Association or Halmstads Segelsällskap. All competitors and officials participate entirely at their own risk to person and property. By completing the online entry form and providing emergency contact details you acknowledge acceptance of this disclaimer. Note – Please advise of any known medical conditions (e.g. pacemaker, diabetes, allergies etc.) that may affect you. This information is vital for first responders to ensure you receive the correct treatment in the event of an incident.
9. All participants must make themselves aware of the DF65 policies and procedures covering sailing activities which are displayed on the notice board in the club house. These include health and safety and safeguarding policies.
10. All participants must have a valid licence to participate in this event.

12. Parking. Halmstads Segelsällskap has several parking spots around in the harbour area. The club has many spots for Caravans and Trailers with electricity plug-in possibilities (for a small fee)

14. Refreshments - Hot and cold refreshments will be available over both days at the clubhouse (for a small fee)
15. Availability. The clubhouse and harbour will be available for practice between 13.00 hours and 18.00 hours 12 October 2018. The organisation will point at available spots for training, please use those spots.
