Aquaculture Development in the Region :
Main conclusions from the discussions
were : Commercialise Aquaculture Need for a Regional Aquaculture Center to
co-ordinate and harmonize development efforts in the region

Private sector and Civil society should assist farmers to increase production, access finance markets and other services
Promote PPPs to upscale the commercialization of aquaculture in the country

Conduct applied demand driven research to address the needs of the people
