1) First things first! If this is the first time that you are using Photostory, then you are going to check off the dot labeled, “Begin a New Story” and click NEXT If you are continuing a project from a previous date, select “Edit a Project” and click NEXT. Make sure you know WHERE you saved the Photstory project from the previous time. You SHOULD have saved it under your STUDENT DRIVE (i.e. james- gorcesky on bmfsasdlkjsdflkj, click on that and then look under the “Administrator’s Videos” folder. 2) You are going to IMPORT pictures that you have saved under the MY PIC- TURES folder under your name. 3) Find your pictures that you have saved. You can just CLICK AND DRAG to high- light a bunch of pictures or press CTRL + A to Select All. 4) You can click on a pic- ture in a your timeline and drag it to the order you want. You can also click on a pic to delete it 5) You can also EDIT the pic- tures to remove the red eye level, rotate a picture or hit “EDIT” and you will be able to add a digital effect. 6) Click on “ADD EFFECT” This will open up a new drop down menu with a variety of filters on it Once you find a filter you like, click “SAVE.” You can also go onto another pic and repeat. CLICK CLOSE 7) Whatever you type in here, it will appear on the picture. If you click on the “A” button, you can change the Font Size, Style and Color. Since these will appear on the TV, I recommend a size 24 font. Hit these buttons to move your font to the Left, Right, Centered, Top, Middle or Bottom. CLICK NEXT 8) Click on “Customize Mo- tion” to make transitions. Then, click on the TRAN- SITION tab up top. A series of transitions will open up. Pick one to go from one pic to the next. Then hit NEXT and CLOSE 9) If you would like to record a Nar- ration per picture in your timeline, just click on the red recording dot. I would also recommend that you click on the microphone icon and make sure your recording levels are up. You can also type some notes in this box so that you know WHAT exactly you recorded. NEXT 10) The last production step is adding music, and we have a few options to do it. MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE 1st pic in your timeline then one of these options: If you hit “SELECT MUSIC” locate a MP3 file on your computer (it CAN NOT have any words in it) If you hit “CREATE MUSIC” then you will…. 11) Under CREATE MUSIC, Photostory has some pre-made music files that you can manipulate. Select your Genre, Style, Band and Mood based on your performance. You can also adjust the Tempo and the Intensity. Press the “Play” button for a quick preview; if you like what you have made, click on “OK” and then NEXT You can click on another picture on a timeline and do the same process to have more than one song. (Notice the two different color lines for the music files above the timeline) 12) And now, for one of the most important part is turning this project into a movie. First, make sure that you click on the first option for “PLAYBACK on a Computer. Then click on BROWSE and save it to my folder on the T; drive under Mr. G’s projects and then NEXT. FINALLY, after it completes rendering, hit “VIEW YOUR PROJECT” and you will see what your completed project looks like in a Windows Me- dia Player file.
