• Increasing demand for ability for researchers to query
• Future possibilities – e.g. integration with HealthVault
Why is EPR2020 Important to Johns Hopkins?

Real-time data feeds for new data (currently JHH) Backload of existing data 4 million patients 17 million visits 8.5 million radiology reports 10 million EPR documents 1.6 million outpatient medications from EPR 1.2 million problem entries from EPR 400K immunizations from EPR 259 million lab results - (lab backload under development)
What Data is Available in EPR2020?

EPR2020 is currently deployed to 95% of public workstations at Johns Hopkins Hospital as well as select private workstations
The deployment is limited to a select group of early adopters (~ 40 users) EPR2020 Steering Committee Members Researchers HIPAA/Compliance Staff Auditors
Broad customer deployment planned for July 2010 release
