•Ever made a mistake?•Every manuscript we have available was hand written by men who, while trying their best, were prone to make mistakes

•As a result there are over 200,000 errors in the New Testament text alone–This is a statement used by many to disparage the Word of God and is a horrible misrepresentation of facts.

•200,000 errors?–“Textual variants”–Over 5,300 manuscripts available
•If one slight variation occurs in 4,000 different manuscripts it would amount to 4,000 errors
•It is in fact one error, copied 3,999 times

•Intention of the scribe is good and he is only trying to “correct” what appears to be an error or omission.
