The department conducted a Field

Trip on 26.09.14 to visit the Sea Breeze

Aqua farm, Papakovil, Velankanni, with

Prof.Dr.N.Murugaiyan, four staff members

and 50 students.

Department of Botany conducted a workshop on mushroom cultivation on 02.09.14 with Dr.A.Panneer Selvam, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Botany & Microbiology, A.V.V.M. Sri Pushpam College (Autonomous),Poondi and Dr.R.Senthilkumar, Proprietor, Sri Amman Biocare, Thirukanerrpatti, Thanjavur as Resource Person. They demonstrated the methods of mushroom cultivation.

Computer Science students participated. On 04.09.14, the department

Arts and Science at Kumbakonam on

Nehru Yuvakendra, Nagapattinam

organized a Blood Donation Camp at

Government Hospital, Nagapattinam on

07.08.14. District Collector

Thiru.T.Muniasamy presided over the

function and gave presidential address. In

his speech he spoke about the importance

of donating Blood. Our College

Rotaractors participated in the Blood

Donation Camp and eight of our students

donated their blood and they were given

certificates.

section was selected and they were given

Valedictory Function was presided

over by our College Principal

about the RYLA programmme students

were more interested on RYLA and they

want to have more RYLA programme.

Our NSS Volunteers, EXNORA

and Environmental Education Club and

Rotaract Club students participated in the

Clean India Programme initiated by our

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and

cleaned the Railway Station on Mahatma

Gandhi’s Birthday, on 2nd October 2014.

About 30 Volunteers from NSS,

EXNORA and Environmental Education

Club and Rotaract Club participated in the

program.

all final year students. 345 students

On 06.07.14, off campus

Recruitment was conducted in Swami

Dayananda College of Arts and Science,

Manjakkudi. All the final years UG

students were informed about the

recruitment programme.

On 14.07.14, Career Guidance

Cell Organized a motivation class on soft

skills and Interview Skills. Mr.Arunkumar,

Sri Academy, Trichy was the Resource

Person. All the first year students attended

the programme.

On 25.08.14, Info on Soft Skills

and Interview Skills was conducted.
