Dear Prospective Member and Parents,
We are very excited that you have decided to audition for the Rangerettes Dance/Drill Team. You have chosen a very exciting and rewarding group to join.
As directors, we find it important that you understand what would be expected of you if chosen as a member of this organization. Rangerettes are disciplined, responsible, dedicated, respectable, and hard working. If selected your son/daughter must abide by strict rules and regulations presented in our handbook. Those presented in the handbook are constructed to uphold fairness and consistency in all aspects of the Rangerettes. I, _________________________________, wish to apply for membership in the Rangerettes. I understand the time commitment, expenses, dedication, and discipline that it takes to be involved should I be selected as a member. I intend to devote the time needed to make the Rangerettes a success if I am chosen. I understand that my selection is contingent upon my ability to adhere to the district’s grade point average requirement. I understand that the decision of the judges is final. ______________________________________ ____________________

Dear Parents, The first year of dance team is the most expensive year for any parent to incur, but it does become less expensive in the following years. Your son/daughter will need to order most of the items on the accompanying order form, but WILL NOT RECEIVE THE ITEMS UNTIL PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE FOR THAT ITEM. Payment for items will be a ONE-TIME payment, in full, due May 18, 2018. If your dancer is selected to join next year’s team, this information will be given out at the new team meeting. Please do not count out the opportunity for your son/daughter to be a part of an excellent organization with high standards and morals. In addition to ordering various items, your dancer will also attend a camp during the summer in July/August. The location and actual date will be announced at the team meeting. Please note that camp is mandatory for all Rangerettes. Camp gets the team ready for football season and pep rallies. Camp also provides an excellent bonding opportunity for the team members. If your son/daughter is chosen for the Rangerettes, she will need to attend a very important meeting on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. This meeting is extremely important, and attendance is absolutely mandatory. If your son/daughter is chosen for the team, s/he will need to see his/her counselor to be enrolled in the Rangerette class which meets during 4th period (Varsity) & 8th period (JV). The Rangerettes have some morning practices at 7:30 am during football season and after school (weekly). All of these practices are mandatory. On the next page, you will see the estimated expenses, so that you are aware of the upfront costs. Payment on these items are due on the assigned due date. Remember that payment on these items are non-refundable. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Tara Williams, Director/Andy Ayala, Director 713-522-5960, ext. 405
