“The house and garden are perfect for entertaining. The garden is south facing and it’s a beautiful sun trap with a lovely courtyard feeling which is ideal for BBQs. We have had lots of parties at the house, including an event recently where we hired an entertainer and, on these occasions, we clear the lounge of furniture, lay down some flooring protection and can easily accommodate 40 or more guests. For more sedate entertaining we use the kitchen/dining area which is most useful when we host our family for Sunday dinner when there are normally 14 of us gathered around the dining table. We have also hosted a wedding party in the paddock at the front of the house.”

“It’s hard to choose just one favourite room as we like them all, however the lounge in particular is a very versatile space with a tv area one end and a log burner at the other end for when you just want to relax in peace on a cold winters night with a glass of wine. There’s space for a large dining table should you prefer not to use the kitchen/dining area which is very useful. The walls of the lounge, kitchen diner and study are lovely with their rustic timber features that still have markings from when they were crafted several hundred years ago. The stable block has planning permission for conversion to a residential annexe.”
