MISSION STATEMENT

The Center for New Media’s purpose is to offer career-based, industry-standard instruction for students to ensure each has the knowledge, skills, and experience needed for successful employment in the new media industry.

It provides a creative and open learning environment by allowing students to combine coursework to achieve certificates and associates degrees in animation, game art, graphic design, illustration, web design, time-based media and web production technology..

ANM 104 DESIGN THEORY & PRACTICE

Course Description

In this course the history of illustration will be examined from

before the invention of the printing press to present, including

poster, advertising art, cartooning, comics, science fiction, 3-

dimensional illustrations and the illustration of children’s books. A

survey of contemporary and historical illustration techniques and

movements will also be studied.

Currently I own 6 Guitars, 2 Mandolins, 1 Octave Mandolin, 1 Irish Bouzouki, 2 Fiddles, 2 Celtic Harps and 1 Baby Grand Piano.

In the 1970’s I played guitar and sang in a folk music group.
