TÜV NORD Akademie – Invitation

10th International Symposium on Release of Radioactive Material from Regulatory ControlProvisions for Clearance and Exemption

7th – 9th November 2017, Berlin

Scope of the SymposiumSince 1998 TÜV NORD has organized various symposia dealing with “Release of Radioactive Material from Regulatory Control”. Particularly, during the previous international symposium in Ham-burg in 2013 more than 130 clearance experts focused on the discussion of this issue. The discussions proved to be fruitful for harmonizing clearance levels and release procedures. This year we would like to continue this successful exchange.

From the start of the first symposium until now several clearance procedures and regulations have been implemented. Amongst these regulations is the EURATOM Directive 2013/59/ “Laying down basic safety standards for protection against the dangers arising from exposure to ionising radiation”, which aims to be im-plemented by the beginning of 2018. In this light, it is appropriate to once again exchange the experience and information in this field.

As experts from many countries are interested in the implementa-tion requirements of the projected regulations for exemption and clearance, TÜV NORD has decided to organize a symposium, which is intended to take place on 7th – 9th November 2017 in the MELIÃ Hotel in Berlin. On the evening of the 6th November you will have the opportunity of a pre-registration and a get-together.

Industrial ExhibitionThe symposium will include an industrial exhibition. Would you like to present your products and services as an exhibitor? For more information, do not hesitate to contact us. Please note in advance that the exhibition area is limited.

Poster ExhibitonPoster presentations are also planned as an equal part of the symposium programme.

Submission of applications for poster presentations is possible until 30th September 2017.
