Comfort of students, a priority The university has four student dormitories with an accommo-dation capacity of 1176 places. Each room is equipped with high speed internet and cable TV. The kitchens are equipped with microwaves ovens, cookers, and a good ventilation sys-tem. The dormitories also have a laundry room on each floor equipped with washing machines that are free to use.

Restaurant and canteenIn the university campus the main meals of the day can be

served at the micro-canteen which has a capacity of 80 seats and is located in the im-mediate vicinity of the main building. The university restaurant is situated two minutes away from the student campus, and it has a capacity of more than 200 seats.

Best Sport facilities in RomaniaThe university campus has a sports base like no other. This consists of two sport halls that house three indoor tennis courts, two volleyball courts, and a basketball court, equipped with spectator stands, thus giving you the choice either to play a set or just relax by being a spectator. In a totally new establishment we have a fitness and weight-lifting center topped with a 260 m2 swimming pool, all of which are open with priority for the classes in the curriculum, but also for sport leisure practice. The outdoor sports base has four tennis courts and two mini-football fields equipped high quality lighting system that lets you cool off with a football match after a long day at school. All this facilities are accessible for free during the physical education classes that are provided by our universities staff.

Top research environmentThe Center of Advanced Medical and Pharmaceutical Research, pro-jected on a total surface of 4.092 square meters on 5 levels, from a budget of 10.47 million EUR, rep-resents an example of a high quality research infrastructure on interna-tional level, serving as a reference center for both basic and clinical medical research in this country (includes a DNA and plasma bank, immunology, chromatography and mass spectrometry, laser flow cy-tometry, confocal microscopy, mo-lecular biology, genetics, advanced cardiac imaging, metabolomics and others).

MobilityOur University has signed the Erasmus Charter for High-er Education 2014-2020 and offers a substantial number of mobility scholarships for students every year, accord-ing to bilateral partnerships established with universities from all Europe (Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Hungary, Belgium, etc). Social events

Every year, the Student`s League organizes in Tirgu Mures the “Mari-siensis” International Congress for Students, Young Physicians and Phar-macists, where students from all Eu-rope are invited to present their sci-entific results during a 5 day scientific marathon. This congress has already become a tradition of our student`s live, already reaching this year its 19th edition.

The student`s live in Tirgu Mures is filled with of social events so that you never get bored. The “Medifun” Student Festival rep-resents a well-known occasion for joy and celebration in the student community. Satellite to different scientific meetings, we organize many cultural events (concerts, etc) where students are invited to participate together with the ac-ademic staff.

Sport competitionSport competitions are organized every year in the university sport`s base, representing a good occa-sion to demonstrate the performance of medical students in different fields (tennis, football, hand-ball, etc).

City attractionTirgu Mures is an old traditional academic city, having a mixed Romanian and Hungarian culture. Its’ main attractions are: Corneşti Plateau the highest point in the city, offers a great panorama of the city, and in-cludes a famous Zoological garden. This is also great place to take a stroll or to have a late night run on the running lanes.
