Get higher quality hay in every bale with a Frontier Carted Wheel Rake. Available in 8-, 10-, and 12-wheel models, there’s a Frontier hay rake that’s just right for your haymaking operation. These efficient and durable rakes are easily adaptable to your conditions. Plus, they’re built to handle heavy crops in minimal time for faster, overall drydrown.

For versatility in windrow width, two independent rake frames slide across a rugged cart. Simply pivot and move the frames to the desired position. Turnbuckles allow you to fine-tune the windrow width. Down-pressure adjustments provide versatility to properly handle the quantity and type of crop.

The cart features a wide frame for durability and is supported by two ground wheels for maximum stability. Shock-absorbing springs under each pivoting head relieve ground pressure from the rake wheels when working rough and uneven terrain.

Raking wheels are 55 inches in diam-eter and are independently mounted to follow ground contours. Each raking wheel has closely spaced tines for fast, efficient windrow gathering. Tines are made of flexible steel and shaped for gentle contact with the forage — you get better crop handling and consistent, fluffy windrows suitable to form an even and compact bale.

Raise and lower the rake frames from the tractor cab with the single- acting hydraulic cylinder. And, when necessary, the transport lock pin can be used to lock either side of the rake in transport position so you can rake a single windrow at a time.

Frontier Wheel Rakes are backed with a one-year warranty and the best dealer network in the industry – John Deere. To help you choose the right Frontier Wheel Rake, talk to your John Deere dealer, your exclusive distributor of Frontier Equipment.

Center kicker wheel (optional) turns the center of the windrow by half a turn for a fluffier, more even windrow, increased dry-down, and prevents the need to run your baler pickup in the ground.

Shock-absorbing springs provide smooth performance over rough and uneven terrain and are adjustable to vary rake-wheel down-pressure.

A wide range of windrow widths are available by sliding the rake frame across the cart. Your dealer can make this adjustment to match the rake to your operation during machine set-up.

Field adjustments can be made quickly and easily with the turnbuckles. Simply turn the turnbuckles to change windrow width.

The hydraulic cylinder (left) lets you raise and lower the rake frames on-the-go right from the tractor cab.

A clevis-type hitch lets you connect the rake to a variety of tractors. Safety chain comes standard. The jack stores conveniently on the rake frame.

Each model folds to less than 11-feet 4-inches wide for easy transport and convenient storage. The lock pins (inset) keep the rake frames in position during transport. An SMV sign comes standard.
