Is building an email list from scratch tough? ( in most cases, yes ... )

BUT NOT IF YOU FOLLOW THESE 10 STEPS

01 Think of 3 topics you would be interested in building a list around. Choose the best one. Set up your list page.

Start the process manually. Reach out to people you already know. And have a relationship with.

Ask them to refer or invite people that they know might be interested in the topic and in joining your list.

Rinse and repeat this process for the first 12 hours, until you get around 50 subscribers.

Go through all your contacts and send them an invite.

Provide an incentive for those people you have gathered to spread the word about your list.

First do a poll to find out what they like, and then create a giveaway on that. Tell all your subscribers about it.

They can sign up for the giveaway, and each friend they refer increases their chances of winning.

You should have done that much by the first 24 hours. And gotten your 200 subscribers.

Now build a relationship with the list. Then, contact 3 or so people on the list. Throw out a few ideas to find out what they will buy.

Set up a quick pre-order page and send it to those 3 or so people to validate your idea. If 1 or more of them buy, then you can email it out to the rest of the list.
