Business and Entrepreneurship
There has never been an easier time to start your own lucrative business with minimal investment or experience. One of the easiest ways to start is by launching an information business where you teach others something that you know or have achieved in your life. For example you could either become a consultant and advise people in one on one sessions, or create an online course that teaches people how to do something that you have a lot of knowledge in, or are very passionate about.
No idea what you could teach? Here are some ideas…
You could teach people how to:
1. Take amazing photographs
2. Become a writer, blogger, novelist
3. Get over the death of a loved one
4. Write a book
5. Shoot videos on your i-phone
6. Use Facebook advertising to grow your business

Do not get hung up on feeling like you’re not an expert! If you have achieved the result or been through the experience then this automatically qualifies you. Don’t sell yourself short. Traditional Careers
There are plenty of traditional career paths that you can transition into by using your existing transferable skills or just through plain determination and tenacity. For some you may need to start by offering your services for free and others you may be able to use your network or connections and transferrable skills to sidestep into a role. You may even begin by creating a project or hobby on the side that allows you to prove your skills within a new industry. For example if you would like to work in the film industry, why not create your own short film and use this passion project to demonstrate your skills before looking for employment or even an internship in this field. Also consider freelancing and offering your services for an initial low entry point cost on sites like upwork / ebay / gumtree. Below are a few ideas to help you brainstorm.
Note that a few of these ideas may require a short conversion course, but none necessarily require a full time degree in higher education. In-fact many of these occupations can be self-taught with the help of a determined attitude and the patience to find the information you need on youtube or online (ie many software developers are self-taught even though it is possible to take a higher education degree in this subject). Often being self-taught allows you to create case studies with real world results as you learn, thus making it easier to find employment in this field or offer your services as a freelancer.
In terms of how much money you make from these careers that’s really up to you. You have the option to charge premium prices based on your unique services (this may not be the case from the get-go, but there are always people who are willing to pay more for exceptional service or results).
Don’t know much about a lot of these careers? No problem, be sure to click on the ‘Learn more’ links to find out more about what’s involved for each role. You’ll find interviews with professionals sharing what’s it’s really like to do their job and insights into what’s really involved in these roles.
