There are many treatment options for alcoholics. • Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) • The most widely used program.• It involves a 12-step recovery method & regular meetings.

What Is The Best Way To Avoid Alcohol?

• Stay away from people who drink & places where people are drinking.

• Teens are pressured to use alcohol, by advertisements, TV, or movies.

• Its even harder to say no when friends are telling you to drink or are drinking

• Practice ways of saying “No” so you will be prepared when someone offers you a drink.

• Buy yourself some time, go some place where you can be alone & think about how to get yourself out of the situation.

• Give good reasons why you choose not to drink – ex: If one of your friends asks you to drink at least one, you can say, “I promised to get us both home safe”.
