Chapter 3 – OS Recovery Procedure To restore your Windows operating system on TB160 back to factory default, please use the following instructions to operate:

If user account is not encrypted or you are able to log into Windows, read section 1.If you are not able to log into Windows system and is blocked at login screen, read section 2.

Section 1. Reset system in Windows settings.

1. Go to All settings

2. Go to Update & security

3. Go to Recovery


tab and hit Get started beneath Reset this PC


4. When Choose an option appears, hit Remove everything to resume

5. When Do you want to clean this drives, too? appears, hit Remove files and clean the drive to resume

6. When Ready to reset this PC appears, hit Reset to resume and the system will start the reset process.



7. If you see the message PHYSICAL PRESENSE SCREEN appears, hit No to resume. If touch screen is not working, use a USB mouse to click

the option.

8. Once the above processes are done, you should be able to enter the login screen for user account setup.

1. If login password is lost, please press shift and hit restart

2. When Choose an option appears, hit Troubleshoot to resume



3. In Troubleshoot, hit Reset this PC to resume

4. In Reset this PC, hit Remove everything to resume

5. In Reset your PC, hit Fully clean the drive to resume

6. In Reset this PC, hit Reset to start system resetting



7. If you see the message PHYSICAL PRESENSE SCREEN appears, hit No to resume. If touch screen is not working, use a USB mouse to click

the option.

8. Once the above processes are done, you should be able to enter the login screen for user account setup.

Section 3. Crazy Mouse Patch

Once the system reset is done, please do the following steps to eliminate crazy mouse issue aroused by GPS module on TB160. 1. Check the registry below is added or not using regedit.exe.

2. If not, copy the patch files to C:/ 3. Run the UPDATE.CMD as Administrator and the system will reboot 4. Check the registries are added or not again.
