DECANTINGSome of our older red selections have natural sediment. Please be patient and we will decant the wine for your full enjoyment.

Some (particularly unfiltered) whites have natural tartaric acid crystals. They are heavier than the wine and will collect at the bottom of the bottle. They are tasteless and are not indicative of any flaw. Decanting is not necessary.

Some younger wines that are ‘big, muscular, tough, tannic’ styles may benefit from decanting as it promotes aeration and softens the wine. Your server may recommend decanting or feel free to ask that we decant.

California Rhone specialist Randall Grahm named his flagship wine after the saucers, this the rose version. A blend of 8 varietals. “quintessential summer wine, light and crisp, with notes stone fruits and red berries, and a chalky grip on the finish” 90 wine review online

#186 Heron Hill Cabernet Franc 2011 Finger Lakes 38.A medium bodied, ruby-red with raspberry & plum flavors and soft tannins. A nice in-between NY wine that works well with pork, chicke, salmon and veggie dishes.

#187 Heart & Hands Pinot Noir 2013 Finger Lakes 36.“Light in color and body, with a bit of strawberry on the finish, this round, bright and harmonious Pinot almost made me look down and make sure this was from the Finger Lakes and not Burgundy. #189 Red Hook BF Jamesport Vineyard Petit Verdot Reserve 2010 North Fork Long Island 65.An intense, inky black red from the North Fork of Long Island made under the direction of Robery Foley.

This is no typical New York red. Notes of pepper, spice, currant, blackberry, tobacco & coffee. A truly memorable bottle that pairs beautifully with our wood grilled meats.

#192 Shaw Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 Finger Lakes 55.Cola, cedar, currant, subtle oak, structured and balanced. Lots of nuance with hints of raisiny fruit, earth and coffee. Shockingly seductive.

#193 Shaw Vineyard Merlot 2006 Finger Lakes 44.Start with a raspberry explosion, add soft oak, a bit of acidity, deeper hints of mint and light herbs, smoke and earth. Then try to convince your friends this is really from New York. Wow!

#194 Shaw Vineyard Keuka Hill Reserve 2007 Finger Lakes 48.Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Black berry, raspberry, and cassis are the hallmarks of this wine. Dried herbs, and dark chocolate also come through with of spice and vanilla. Smoky with soft acidity and sizable tannins give this wine a classic structure. A big, beautiful wine.
