Needs AssessmeNtContact dermatitis is an evolving scientific field that requires periodic updates on its advances. This conference is intended to bring physicians and industry professionals together to acquire awareness, knowledge and skills in contact dermatitis for the exchange of information about the basic, applied, and clinical science of contact dermatitis and the skin.

Objectivesupon completion of this program, participants should be able to:• identify basic biological processes of the skin• evaluate testing and risk assessment for allergic and irritant

contact dermatitis• Discuss the evaluation of patients for allergic and irritant

contact dermatitis

AudieNceThis meeting is designed for basic scientists, dermatologists, researchers, and industry personnel.

creditThis activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the essential areas and policies of the accreditation Council for Continuing Medical education through the joint sponsorship of Penn state College of Medicine and the american Contact Dermatitis society. Penn state College of Medicine is accredited by the aCCMe to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Penn state College of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physicians who have completed an MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree from another country, or who have obtained a fifth Pathway certificate, are eligible to receive aMa Pra Category 1 Credit.

Pennsylvania state has approved this program for 0.8 continuing education units (Ceu).

FeeThe fee for this program is $599 per person. residents may attend for a fee of $50 (attach letter of status from program director). This fee includes instruction, handout materials, continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks, and the Thursday and friday evening social events (preregistration required).

There is no fee for employees of the Department of Dermatology (College of Medicine or Hershey Medical Center).

cANcellAtiON ANd reFuNd POlicyCancellations received later than July 2, 2009, will be assessed a $25 processing fee. no refunds will be made for cancellations received after July 7, 2009. The university may cancel or postpone any course or activity because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. if a program is canceled or postponed, the university will refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for any other related costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies. Preregistered participants will be notified if a program is filled or canceled.

WedNesdAy eveNiNg registrAtiONConference registration will be open from 4:00–8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, July 8, in the Hotel lobby to allow participants arriving the evening before the conference to check in and receive their program information early. Those arriving Thursday morning can register between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m.
