• Visitors/Partnership Program (2001-2005)

• PEP (2010-current)– Purpose

• Establish mutually-beneficial relationships among climate partners by formally connecting the climate services community that exists both internal and external to NOAA

• Strengthen partnerships by establishing two-way communication and face-to-face collaboration between NOAA and the broader climate community

daily and weekly products were included in the “Monument’s Bleaching and Disease Response Plan”

• President’s FY12 budget proposal to develop a NOAA Climate Service – A single point of contact in

NOAA to provide credible, useful, and timely information products

– Work with the broader climate service enterprise, including other Federal, state, and local government agencies, the academic community, and the private sector to provide services and information for decision-making.

The National Weather Service (NWS) provides weather, hydrologic, and climate forecasts and warnings for the United States, its territories,

adjacent waters and ocean areas, for the protection of life and property and the enhancement of the national economy. NWS data and products form a national information database and infrastructure which can be used by other governmental agencies, the private sector, the public,

and the global community.
