The Hallowell Water District (the District) will be filing a revised rate schedule with the Maine Public Uti l i t ies Commission, to be effective January 1, 2019. The filing is made under provisions of 35-A-M.R.S.A. Section 6104. The docket number for the filing is 2018-00159.

Present rates were effective January 1, 2017. In 2018 the Dis t r ict under took a main replacement project o n Wa te r S t re e t t h a t i s being funded by two new bonds totaling $1,038,007. In order to pay these new debt service obl igat ions a n d c o n t i nu e p ro p e r l y maintaining its water system, the District is proposing an overall revenue increase of $134,084 as shown below:

Selectmen is invit ing bids from qualified contractors for the Ryder Rd, Upper Bowman St. Tyrawley Rd. 236 Bowman St. 10 Littlefield Ln.

Prospective bidders must o b ta i n b i d i n s t r u c t i o n s and contract documents from the Town Clerk at the Farmingdale Town Office, or the Farmingdale Website at www.farmingdalemaine.org. There will be a mandatory pre bid meeting on July 10, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Farmingdale Town Office.
