Assessment increase was rejected at Board of Director’s meeting series
We will need to make appropriate adjustments to our annual budget
Ethics hotline efforts have met resistance
Some sections remain non-compliant to concentration banking requirements
Two special awards to be presented to our Sections

Support Pete as directed– Represent him where needed– Attack assigned issues
Observe Region, USA, and Global Operations– Board Meetings– Understand the operation of the Region, Region
Leadership, and IEEE/IEEE-USA boards
R1 volunteer leadership training– Remote training model– Ensure volunteers are trained
Prepare a strategy for my tenure as director– Socialize my 4 key initiatives, Identify champions– Strategize key events during my tenure (SC14, USA14)– BoG roster preparation
Format for Candidate Presentations
IEEE President, R1 Director, NOT IEEE-USA President
10-minute floor time for each candidate– Used at the discretion of each candidate
– Hard stop at 10 minutes – mid-sentence if necessary
– Both candidates present during both presentations
– Order selected by coin toss
10-minute Q&A– 4 pre-selected, anonymous questions
– Submit your questions to Sandy at lunch – Sandy and I will select 4 and provide them to the candidates during lunch
– 1 minute per candidate to answer - No rebuttals
– Order alternates for each question
