The 12d Mode l ba se product w as written from the

ground up for the c ivil and surveying ma rket. Work

flow follows traditional engineering ideas, making it

very ea sy to learn and use. The ba se includes the

string typ es 2d, 3d, 4d, interfac e, pipe, text, a lignme nt

a nd s uper to a llow a cc ura te c ivil engineering a ndsurvey mo de lling. Alignm ent s trings provide

indepe ndent horizonta l and vertica l ge ometry and

are created and edited interactively on plan and

are made to the strings or templates, a simple recalc

final design.

Three typ es of view s pla n, se ction and perspec tive

can be c rea ted b y the user for examining, c onstructing

and editing information. All views are automatically

linked s o that d ata ca n be viewed and manipulated

using more tha n one view. The 12d Model sec tion

view extends the concept of a section to include a

co rrido r either side of the st ring be ing profiled . Any

strings in the c orrido r ca n be displa yed in the s ectionview. Henc e pote ntia l clas hes betw een the profile

string a nd utilities are ea sy to d etec t. The 12d Mod el

super string provides a simple tool for 3d modelling

of utilities such as telephone lines, electricity cables,

of formats including Windows printers and DWG &

Pavement Overlay OptimizerOverlay of asphalt pavement is used to extend the

life of existing roads.

to determine the most efficient placement of material

Road edges are allowed to flap within a specified

PipelineThis mo dule is used to s upport the des ign o f major

pipelines of any diameter (for example, 2000 mm) and

any length.

The mod ule a llow s for the extrac tion of long se ctions

and cross sec tions a ga inst the digital terrain model

for the propos ed route, plus all the ob structions that

run parallel or cross a corridor of user given width on

either side of the centre line of the route.

The joint de flec tion for pipes of a use r nominated

length is c a lculate d and interactively displayed along

the pipeline.

Earthwork volumes for trenches can be calculated

along the selected design line.

The spec ia l pipeline longitudina l plots s how the exist ing

surface, design pipeline, depth of cut or fill to pipe

invert, percentag e g rad es and vertica l curve da ta or

deflection angles, and all obstructions.

Sewer - Waste Water ReticulationThe S ew er module is an extens ion of the dra inag e

module and supports the design of gravity operated

waste water reticulation systems, typically those

req uired for new land s ubdivisions a nd d evelopment

projects.

The use r enters propos ed ma nholes , pipelines and

end of line points. Obs tructions which pa ss over, under

or parallel to the design lines within a user specified

co rrido r abo ut the de sign line w ill be sho wn on long

and c ross sec tion views .

When s a tisfied with the d es ign invert levels, connections

from the des ign line to the individua l house blocks c a n

be a dded and reported on.

Earthwork volumes for trenches can be calculated
