Welcome to Chengdu! Our guide and driver will meet you at airport, and transfer you to the hotel for

check in.

Chengdu, a city full of leisure, is a wonderful place to taste the famous Sichuan cuisine, and also it is the

home town of the cute pandas. So traveling here is quite different from any other cities in China. Today

you will arrive in Chengdu. Our local guide will greet you at the airport and then escort you to the hotel

with the private transfer. On the way to the hotel, the guide will give you some brief introduction to the

city.

Day 02 Chengdu-Leshan Buddla-Chengdu by Car Detailed Itinerary:

After breakfast, our guide will bring you to visit Huanglongxi Ancient Town. Huanglongxi Ancient

Town is a famous ancient town in Sichuan. It has a history more than 2,700 years and can be dated back to

the Three Kingdoms Period. With great historical significance, Huanglongxi Ancient Town is also a place

to discover the ancient but authentic Sichuan style from the ancient architectures, and local folk cultures.

Then our guide will bring you to see Leshan Giant Buddha. The Leshan Giant Buddha is the tallest stone

Buddha statue in the world, which was carved out of a cliff face by an 8th-century monk in southern

Sichuan province. This Giant Buddha of Leshan overlooks the confluence of the Minjiang River, Dadu

River and Qingyi River and faces the sacred Mount Emei, with the rivers flowing below his feet.

Afterwards, our guide will transfer you back to Chengdu and drop you at the hotel to have a good rest.

Day 03 Chengdu Detailed Itinerary:

Today the first station after breakfast will be the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The

base is a non-profitable research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. Touring to

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding you will see the cutest panda, to get to know them and

get back to the nature.

Then you will have time for free shopping at Silk shop and Tea shop around there before our guide takes

you to have lunch.

After lunch, our guide will bring you to Kuan Zhai Alley, where you can experience the essence of

Chengdu life and its culture. There you will enjoy and experience the Chengdu lifestyles of leisure, laid-

back, and modern at the Kuan Zhai Alley. Also you will taste various delicious local food and snacks.

After a great time at the Kuan Zhai Alley, our guide will transfer you back to the hotel. For the night, if

you want to know more about Sichuan culture, you can pay to enjoy the Sichuan Opera.

Day 04 Chengdu-Lhasa by flight Detailed Itinerary:

This early morning you will take flight to Lhasa to start the sacred Tibet tour. When you arrived in Lhasa,

our guide will meet you at the airport and then take you to visit Drepung Monastery at first. The Drepung

Monastery is one of the “Great Three” Gelugpa university monasteries of Tibet. With an occupation of

250,000 square meters and a house of 7,700 monks, Drepung Monastery is the largest monastery in the

world.

Sera Monastery will be arranged as the next destination to see. The Sera Monastery is another one of the

“Great Three” Gelugpa university monasteries of Tibet. Besides the magnificent construction, Sera

Monastery has collected a large number of cultural relics like Buddha statues, Thangka, sutras, and many

other religious tools. Sera Monastery is especially famous for its unique debate Buddhist doctrines. You

may be lucky to witness the debate when visiting there.

The last scheduled destination will be Tibet Museum. It is the largest national level modern museum in

Tibet. There are numerous cultural relics and treasures are housed in Tibet Museum and most of the

exhibits are themed at Tibetan history, culture, religion, art and folk custom. Visiting the Tibet Museum is

a great chance to get close to the history and culture of the sacred Tibet.

Day 05 Lhasa Detailed Itinerary:

Today your Lhasa discovery tour will continue with a visit to Potala Palace. The Potala Palace is the

landmark of Tibet. It is a large-scale castle-styled building with 13 floors and 110 meters tall, 3750 meters

above sea horizon. Regarded as a museum of architectural and Buddhism art, the Potala Palace attracts

tourists not only for its remarkable construction, but also for the valuable cultural relics and treasures it has

kept.

The next scheduled destination to visit will be Barkhor Street. It is the most famous street in Tibet. The

Barkhor Street was built to circle the sacred Jokhang Temple, making it one of the most sacred places in

Tibet. There are pilgrims from everywhere to worship and chant in the street, and there are houses and

buildings of Tibetan styles standing alongside the street. Also there are more than 300 stores and stalls

selling various kinds of Tibetan-style commodities and you can buy some unique ones as souvenirs and

gifts.

Then we will move to visit the Jokhang Temple, which is located just on Barkhor Square. Jokhang

Temple was constructed in the 7th century and it is the first Buddhist temple in Tibet. The Jokhang Temple

is the religious center for Tibetan Buddhism and there are many devout Buddhism adherents coming from

other places around Tibet to show their sovereign respect here by using their knees and hands pray on the

floor.

Day 06 Lhasa-Yamdrok Lake-Gyantse-Shigatse Detailed Itinerary:

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up and transfer you to Gyantse to see the Yamdrok Lakethat has

alluring scenery. The Yamdrok Lake is one of the three largest sacred lakes in Tibet. Yamdrok is reputed

for its beautiful and charming scenery of pure lake, snow mountains, islands, vast pastures, hot springs,

wild animals, monasteries and other landscapes. There are numerous islands around and in Yamdrok Lake,

among which dwelling birds and other animals.

After that, we will drive on and move to see the Pelkhor Chode Monastery. It is built in the beginning of

the 15 century and is a monastery that blends three sects of Tibetan Buddhism, Sakyapa, Kadampa and

Gelugpa. The Pelkhor Monastery is famed for its long history, exquisite architectures, unique religious

value, and the numerous delicate murals and sculptures preserved there. Its architectures are specially

respected as they are combinations traditional Chinese, Tibetan and Nepali styles. You will appreciate its

most impressive architecture Pelkhor Chode which is also called as the “Kumbum”.

Day 07 Shigatse-Shegar-Rongbuk Monastery Detailed Itinerary:

This morning we will continue driving to Rongphu via Lhatse and Shegar. When arrived in Rongphu, you

will start the challenging hiking tour. You will hike to cross over the Gyatsola and Pangla Pass, where you

will see the Himalaya mountain ranges under the clear blue sky.

Then you will arrive at Rongbuk Monastery and have a sightseeing stop there. Rongbuk Monastery is

located on the base of the north side of Mt. Everest. With an altitude of 5,100 meters, Rongbuk Monastery

is the highest monastery in the world. As it is only 20 kilometers away from Mt. Everest, the monastery

has been a base camp for climbers to Mt. Everest. This Tibetan Buddhist monastery attracts tourists for its

cultural and religious significance by its architectures and precious mural paintings, more importantly you

will have the best angle to appreciate and take awesome pictures of Mt. Everest from the monastery.

After that, we will continue our trekking trip to EBC, which may take two hours. Or you may take a local

sightseeing bus at your own expense if you want an easier way to get to the EBC. This trekking journey is

adventurous and challenging, but the imposing scenery along the road really worth the efforts.

Tonight you will stay in the tent in EBC.

Day 08 Rongbuk-Shigatse Detailed Itinerary:

Get up earlier in the morning to see the amazing sunrise on Mt. Everest. Have a great time for free

admiration of the majestic Mt. Everest and its spectacular views. Take some fantastic pictures about the

mountain for valuable memories.

After a great time at EBC, we will go back to Rongbuk. Then our guide will drive you back to Shigatse.

We will stay at the hotel in Shigatse tonight.

Day 09 Shigatse-Lhasa Detailed Itinerary:

After breakfast at the hotel, our guide will take you to visit Tashilunpo Monastery. The Tashilunpo

Monastery is one of the “Great Six” Monasteries of Gelugpa in Tibet. As one of the oldest and largest

Gelug sect monasteries in Tibet, Tashilunpo Monastery is also the traditional seat of successive Panchen

Lama. The monastery has imposing architecture complex to appreciate, among which the most outstanding

ones are the Maitreya Chapel, Kelsang Temple and Thangka Wall. Besides, its historical and cultural relics

including exquisite wall paintings, murals, rare sutras, Thangka and many other treasures really worth

exploration.

Then our guide will transfer you back to Lhasa and drop you at the hotel.

Day 10 Lhasa-Xian Detailed Itinerary:

This morning after breakfast at the hotel, you will take flight to Xian. When you arrived in Xian, our local

guide will pick you up and transfer you to visit the Ancient City Wall, which is Xian’s landmark.

The Ancient City Wall is the largest and best preserved Ming Dynasty city wall. Visiting the City Wall,

you can not only learn city construction and architectural arts in ancient times. Also you can get some good

views of Xian city.

Then you will be brought to Muslim Street in the evening, where you will have chances to enjoy a great

night time with numerous delicious Xian local snacks and food.

Day 11 Xian Detailed Itinerary:

Today your Xian exploration will start with a visit to Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Reputed as the

World’s Eighth Great Wonder, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant archaeological

excavations of the 20th century. You will see a large number of collections of life-size terracotta soldiers

and horses with different facial expressions and postures, ancient weapons and chariots made 2,000 years

ago arranged in the battle formations. These terracotta soldiers and horses are great examples to learn the

ancient history and culture of the Qin Dynasty.

Then we will proceed to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a famous

Buddhist pagoda in Xian which was built in the Tang Dynasty. Built with traditional Chinese architectural

characteristics and profound Buddhist culture connotation, you will o admire Buddhist Religion culture

and its attractive architecture when visiting there.

Small Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the two significant Buddhist pagodas in Xian, will be the next

scheduled attraction to see. With its delicate appearance, elegant architecture and peaceful environment,
