Welcome On behalf of the entire board of directors, we welcome you to the beautiful Rafter E Ranch!

Tonight marks our 12th Annual Campfire Memories Gala, and we are delighted that you are joining our event. Since our inception twelve years ago, we have distributed over $386,000 in funds to promote conservation, recognize and reward our veterans, provide and promote education, acknowledge extraordinary humanitarian efforts, and also honor our commitment to supporting SCI National. The money raised tonight will continue to support these worthy causes, the majority of which are in our local communities.

An event like you will experience tonight takes countless hours of time, effort and energy that your board does willingly to support our mission statement and by-laws. We are a completely volunteer board which means we believe so strongly in supporting Conservation, Education and Humanitarian service projects that we donate all our time. In turn, we rely on the generosity of our donors and fellow volunteers that make a night like tonight shine. We cannot thank them enough for their generous contributions.

Lastly, THANK YOU for joining us tonight. We are grateful for your attendance and your support. We promise an unforgettable evening of fun and fellowship. This year’s auction and raffle items will appeal to a wide variety and have exceeded even our expectations.

Why Join the THCC? The majority of our funding is raised at this specific event. Thanks to the 2019 attendees and

buyers, we were able to provide funding for the following organizations: Schreiner University Shooting Sports Society, Boy Scout Troop 137, Trinity Oaks Foundation, Operation Orphans,

Wounded Warriors, and 4-H Programs in both Kerr and Gillespie Counties; as well as our 30% commitment to SCI National.

AuctioneerMark Justice is the owner and operator of Double J Animal Hospital in Hobbs, New Mexico. He attended Texas Tech University for undergraduate studies, then attended Colorado State University obtaining his DVM degree in1999. After graduation he moved to Levelland, Texas, where he provided mobile equine and bovine veterinary services for 10 years. Wanting to establish a more permanent business, he went for his dream of building a veterinary hospital in his hometown of Hobbs, NM. Double J Animal Hospital opened in April 2009.

Having grown up in and around the auction business, Mark does auctions throughout the country for several non-profit organizations, assisted by his wife and ring woman, Angela. He is dedicated to helping support and promote hunting and conservation. Mark and Angela are proud parents of two future hunters, a 7 year old daughter and a 3 year old son.

Auction Policy Introduction: At registration each attendee will receive a packet containing a name badge which will be used to identify the registrant in the live auctions. The registrant is responsible for the care and use of this badge. The auctioneer and his staff are responsible for the auction and their rules will be followed explicitly. The auctioneer will decide any disputes regarding the bids during the live auctions. Note: Some items may have minimum bids, which will be announced by the auctioneer.

Policies: Winning bidders are responsible for payment of the auction item(s) in full at the time of 1)purchase or by the end of the evening’s event. Items bought at auction may be paid for by cash, check or credit card (Amex,Visa or Master Card). Nonpayment of any item will cancel the sale. In the event of a “tie” between bidders, the auctioneer may reopen the bidding between the two high bidders only. A buyer acknowledgement form will be executed by the high bidder immediately following the auction of each item. When the buyer signs the Buyer Acknowledgement Form, it is done subject to the terms and condition of these Official Auction Rules and any disclaimer contained herein. Any failure to execute the Buyer Acknowledgement Form will result in prompt re-auction of the item.

All sales are final. There will be no transfers or no re-sales of hunts that are purchased at the Chapter fundraisers. The purchaser must be the attendee of the hunt unless given permission by the donor to change said policy.

It is the bidder’s and/or the Donor’s responsibility to obtain property licenses and permits and to arrange times/ scheduling of the event with the outfitter. Special arrangements other than as set forth on the auction list are expressly between the donor and buyer. Decisions such as dates of hunting/fishing trips, details of hunting/fishing trips, charges during such trips beyond the representations made in the donation are considered negotiations strictly between the buyer and the provider. THCC/SCI does not warrant or promise, expressly or otherwise, the satisfaction with the auction item.The auctioneer will decide any disputes regarding the bids during the live auctions. Some items may have minimum bids, which will be announced by the auctioneer.

Firearms: All firearms obtained for this event will be transferred in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.

Liability: The auctioned goods are sold as is without any express or implied warranty on the part of THCC/SCI. THCC/SCI does not accept any responsibility or liability for any product, design or use.
