PROCLAMA AL CRISTO RESUCITADO
En la mañana de Pascua el clima primaveral, las flores, los
pájaros y las mariposas, las personas que nos
rodean con sus mejores galas, la hermosa
liturgia y la agradable música, todo parece
dar testimonio de que Jesucristo ha resucitado
hoy. De la misma manera que los relatos de
los testigos en la lectura de hoy, la vida glo-
riosa y gozosa que nos rodea nos ayuda a
creer en la buena nueva de la Resurrección y
exclamar “¡Aleluya!”
Hoy en la Sagrada Escritura escuchamos a Pedro, a Pablo
y a Juan quienes hablan con convicción de haber visto al Cris-
to resucitado. El relato del Evangelio según san Juan incluye a
María Magdalena, quien también tuvo el privilegio de ser tes-
tigo de la Resurrección y contarles a los demás la buena nue-
va. En este glorioso Domingo de Pascua, ¿podemos nosotros
también dar testimonio de que Jesucristo ha resucitado hoy y

PROCLAIM THE RISEN CHRIST
On Easter morning everything—the spring weather, the
flowers, birds and butterflies, the people
around us in their finery, the beautiful liturgy
and music—everything seems to bear witness
that Jesus Christ is risen today! Like the eye-
witness accounts in today’s scriptures, the glo-
rious and joyful life all around us helps us to
believe the good news of the Resurrection and
sing “Alleluia!”
In the scriptures today we hear from Peter and
Paul and John. All three speak with conviction about witness-
ing the resurrected Christ. John’s Gospel account includes
Mary of Magdala, who also was privileged to witness the Res-
urrection and tell others the good news. On this glorious East-
er Sunday can we ourselves give eyewitness accounts that Je-

TESOROS DE NUESTRA TRADICIÓN
El misterio pascual es la clave de nuestra fe cristiana:
el morir y resucitar de Jesús, que es el patrón de nuestra
vida. En sus primeros pasos en el camino de la fe, los
catecúmenos sienten la cruz de la gloria trazada
sobre sus ojos, sobre sus labios, sobre sus hom-
bros, sobre sus orejas, sobre sus corazones y sobre
sus pies. El misterio es que incluso la muerte da
paso a la vida para aquellos que están abrazados
por Jesús. Hoy, muchos cristianos nuevos surgen
de las aguas de la fuente. Sin embargo, la fuente
no es el destino de su viaje. El objetivo es el Pen-
tecostés, dentro de cincuenta días, y una vida de
alabanza al Padre, en Cristo, en el abrazo del Espíritu
Santo, por el bien del mundo. "Neófito", nuestra antigua
palabra para los recién bautizados, significa "recién
plantado" en griego. Si alguien en su parroquia acaba de
ser bautizado, déles la bienvenida hoy. Las sonrisas en
sus caras y la luz en los ojos es un anticipo del cielo.

TREASURES FROM OUR TRADITION..
The Paschal Mystery is the key to our Christian
faith: the dying and rising of Jesus that is the pattern of
our life. In their first steps on the road of faith, the cate-
chumens feel the cross of glory traced over their
eyes, on their lips, across their shoulders, on their
ears, over their heart, and on their feet. The mys-
tery is that even death gives way to life for those
who are held in the embrace of Jesus. Today,
many new Christians arise from the waters of the
font. Yet the font is not the destination of their
journey. The goal is Pentecost, fifty days from
now, and a lifetime of praise to the Father, in Christ, in
the embrace of the Holy Spirit, for the sake of the world.
“Neophyte,” our ancient word for newly-baptized people,
means “newly-planted” in Greek. If someone in your par-
ish has just been baptized, welcome them today. The
smiles on their faces and the light in the eyes is a foretaste

Happy Easter
The resurrection of the Lord is the core of our faith.
Knowing that we also will rise give us understanding
and meaning for our lives. Our sufferings, struggles
and efforts have a sense in our journey. When we lost
the meaning and intention of our daily activities, name-
ly being wife, mother, husband, father, student, son, worker or whatev-
er you do every day; our lives have no sense. As St. Paul said: “if
Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless,” and every activity,
even every prayer has no meaning for our lives, but thanks be to God,
this is not our case, because Jesus has risen! And now everything ac-
quired a new meaning. That is why I wish you a HAPPY EASTER,
and Thank YOU to all the servers, ushers, choirs, altar servers, minis-
ters, janitors and all that share their faith in preparing this wonderful

Feliz Pascua
La Resurrección del Señor es el centro de nuestra fe. Saber que también
resucitaremos, nos da entendimiento y sentido a nuestras vidas y todos
nuestros sufrimientos, problemas y esfuerzos tienen sentido en nuestro
caminar. Cuando perdemos el sentido y la intención de nuestras ac-
tividades diarias, llámese como esposa, madre, padre, esposo, estu-
diante, hijo, trabajador o cualquier cosa que hagamos diario, nuestras
vidas pierden su verdadero sentido.
Como dice St. Pablo: “Si Cristo no hubiera resucitado vana seria nues-
tra fe,” y toda actividad, incluso nuestras oraciones no tendrian senti-
do para nuestras vidas, pero gracias a Dios, este no es nuestro caso,
porque Jesus ha Resucitado! Y ahora todo adquiere un Nuevo sentido.
Por eso les deseo Feliz Pascua y Gracias a todos los servidores, min-
istros, monaguillos, y todos los que hicieron posible que celebraramos
en nuestra parroquia este momento de Gracia y bendicion.

Knights of Columbus Are offering a free breakfast on Sunday, April 15th
after the 8:30 mass at St Peter’s in the hall.
Who is the NET Ministries Challenges young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church. Every August, 175 young Catholics aged 18-28 leave behind their jobs, school, family, and friends to devote nine months to serving with the National Evangelization Teams (NET). Divided into 16 teams, they travel across the U.S. for nine months to share the Gos-pel with young people and their families. Since 1981, NET teams have led over 32,000 retreats and ministered to more than 1.9 million young Catholics. NET Ministries fulfills its mission by: Proclaiming the Gospel of Christ through a personal witness of faith, inviting young people to live for Christ. Forming young people in Christian character through the study and practice of their faith Equipping youth workers and young adults with the ministry skills needed for evange-lization. We will be welcoming this wonderful group on April 14th and 15th for ours confirmation group.
Quie es el grupo de NET desafían a los jóvenes católicos a amar a Cristo y abrazar la vida de la Iglesia.
