The Council Members Oaths of Office and the Council President Oath of Office both were administered by the Honorable Ronald B. Adrine, Administrative and Presiding Judge, Cleveland Municipal Court. “To all my bosses – my constituents – you overwhelmingly have given me four more years to continue to help make Ward 4 and the City of Cleveland’s quality of life second to none. Together, uninterrupted we will complete the peoples work,” said Councilman Kenneth L. Johnson. Councilman Johnson’s twins attended the swearing-in ceremony. Councilman Johnson Attends Habitat for Humanity House Blessing Thursday, March 22, 2018, Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity held a “House Blessing” on Lardet Avenue. Habitat holds a House Blessing before they start to rehabilitate a house. “All vacant properties in Ward 4 DO NOT need demolishing. The properties we can save we will save with the help of Habitat and other community partners,” proclaimed Councilman Kenneth L. Johnson. 121st Council of the City of Cleveland Swearing-In Ceremony

The 121st Council of the City of Cleveland Swearing-In Ceremony took place in City Council Chambers on January 1st. The Council Members Oaths of Office and the Council President Oath of Office both were administered by the Honorable Ronald B. Adrine, Administrative and Presiding Judge, Cleveland Municipal Court.

Councilman Johnson Attends Habitat for Humanity House Blessing

Thursday, March 22, 2018, Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity held a “House Blessing” on Lardet Avenue. Habitat holds a House Blessing before they start to rehabilitate a house.

Thursday, April 19, 2018, 3pm at Alexander Hamilton Recreation Center located 13200 Kinsman Road there was a Safety Meeting and Dinner with Councilman Kenneth L. Johnson hosted by Luadrie Turner.

Alsom during this meeting Councilman Johnson introduced members of the City of Cleveland’s “Little Buddy Program”. The program is for children ages 8 to 13. Participants will gather information from their peers concerning programs they would like in city recreation centers. The Little Buddies will also testify before Cleveland City Council and the Frank G. Jackson Administration.

“I believe, we have to gather our young people at a very young age with constructive programs, before the streets get them,” declared Councilman Johnson.

Thursday, February 15 at the Buckeye Shaker Square Development Corporation Ward 2 Councilman Kevin L. Bishop, Ward 4 Councilman Kenneth L. Johnson and Ward 6 Councilman Blaine A. Griffin along with City Officials convened a public meeting to discuss the East 116th Street (Union Avenue to Shaker Boulevard) and the Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (Kinsman Road to Shaker Boulevard) Rehabilitation Projects.

At 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Alexander Hamilton Recreation Center located 13200 Kinsman Road there was a Safety Meeting and Dinner with Councilman Kenneth L. Johnson hosted by Fay Philmon.

At 6:00 pm on Thursday, April, 26, 2018, at the Alexander Hamilton Recreation Center there was a Safety Meeting and Dinner with Councilman Kenneth L. Johnson hosted by Vernon C. Rose.

Monday, October 23, 2017, a name dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the “Ozell A. Dobbins, Sr. Maintenance Center” (Formerly known as East Side Maintenance Center) was held at 3000 Woodhill Avenue. The welcome was given by Darnell Brown, Chief of Operations Mayor’s Office. Plus, remarks were given by Mayor Frank G. Jackson, Councilman Blaine Griffin Ward 6, Council President Kevin Kelley Ward 13, Councilman Kenneth L. Johnson Ward 4, Director of Public Works Michael Cox, and Honoree Mr. Ozell A. Dobbins, Sr. All City dignitaries and guests toured this state-of-the-art maintenance center and refreshments were served.

Kenneth L. Johnson, Councilman congratulated Habitat for Humanity for another job well done and welcomed another grateful Habitat Volunteer and her family to Ward 4.

Councilman Johnson Introduces “Little Buddy Program” 2018 ODOT Construction Kick-off Johnson Receives Public Service Awards from Mt. Pleasant NOW

Thursday, April 5, 2018 ODOT District 12 held its 2018 Construction Kick-off on East 93rd Street North of Woodland. This event also marked the start of the final section construction of the “Opportunity Corridor”. Section 3 construction (East 93rd Street to I-490) is scheduled summer 2018 through summer 2022. Attendees included: Myron Pakush; ODOT District 12 Deputy Director, Jerry Wray; Mayor Frank G. Jackson, City of Cleveland; State Senator Sandra Williams, District 21; State Representative Stephanie Howse, District 11; Councilman Kenneth L. Johnson, Ward 4; Councilwoman Phyllis Cleveland, Ward 5; Councilman Blaine Griffin, Ward 6; Vickie Johnson, Cleveland Clinic Senior Director of Community Relations; and Randy Cole, Executive Director Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission.

On November 17, 2017, Nicholas Perry, Executive Director Mt. Pleasant Now Development Corporation hosted

their “Annual Meeting”. Kenneth L. Johnson, Councilman Ward 4 received the Corporation’s “Public Service Award”

honoring his service to the Mt. Pleasant Community.

Collier, Director of City Planning. The agenda included Mayor Frank G. Jackson’s $65 million Neighborhood Initiative, Safety Updates, Business and Development updates, Funding options for your business, and Get more business. John Hopkins, Executive Director Buckeye Shaker Square Development Corporation hosted the event and Kenneth L. Johnson, Councilman Ward 4 welcomed the members of this gathering.
