The Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (“KAPP”), formerly the partnerships Technical Bureau (PTB), in collaboration with Kuwait Municipality, is inviting local and international companies / consortia and the companies listed in the Kuwait Stock Exchange to submit Statements of Qualification (SOQ) for “Egaila Services and Entrainment Center Project” (the “Project”) “Egaila Services and Entertainment Center Project” Brief Project Description: The Scope of the Project is to design, finance, build, operate, maintain, and transfer: A recreational, cultural, commercial, and sports center comprised of four floors (consisting of a basement, ground floor, first and second floors) with a total rentable area not exceeding technical criteria demonstrating their experience and track record in developing financing, executing and operating similar projects. The qualification criteria are detailed in the RFQ document. This announcement shall not constitute in any way a commitment by KAPP to proceed with the next stage or award the Project. KAPP retains its right to reject all submitted requests or amend the components of the Project as well to cancel or extend the Project without any liabilities for the Authority or any other Public Entity. This announcement shall be considered a complementary and integral part of the Project Documentation 65,500 m2 , including adjoined parking for each level. A fresh Food Market with a total area of 20,000 m2 and a rentable area not to exceed 10,000 m2 . The proposed facility will located in “Fintas Commercial and Administrative Area”, in Al-Ahmadi Governorate, bound by Egaila residential area from the north and the east, the Private Universities area from the south, and the Jaber Al-Ali area from the west. The Project has been allocated a total land area of 85,500 m2 . Kuwait Municipality (KM) will be responsible for providing an obstacle free project site. KM will also be responsible for providing all infrastructure connections up to the site boundaries including, but not limited to, water, electricity, sewage, and roads. The Project Company will be responsible to design, finance, build, operate, maintain and transfer the Project against the payment of an annual land use premium to KM for the usufruct right of the Project’s site. This land use premium will be subject to competition between bidders. Project Objectives: The Project aims to provide a recreational, cultural and sports activities center attracting all age ranges especially the youth as well as a Fresh Food Market that meets the demand of the residents of Al-Ahmadi Governorate. Contractual Framework: The Project will be procured as a design, finance, build, operate, maintain and transfer model in accordance with Law No. 116 of 2014.
