As a substitute and upgrade, we have provided the DH21260K HSI Ignition Control Package, part number . This module will come complete with a retrofit wiring harness to accommodate replacement of any of the above listed discontinued control packages. The DH21260K kit comes with a retrofit wiring harness that is pre-wired with molded connectors for compatibility with the Honeywell Smart Valve harness. If the unit you are servicing does not have a Honeywell Smart Valve, disconnect the molded connector harness from the DH21260K module wiring leads, discard the molded connector harness, and connect the DH21260K wire leads directly to existing wiring as indicated on the following wiring diagrams. For units that contain the Honeywell Smart Valve SV95X, a a replacement 24V WR 36J series valve is required. Part number P-1405 for NG, P-1406 for LP. Older units that do not have an existing independent flame sensor will need to have an independent flame sensor installed. Flame sensors with a 18" (P-1090) and 30" (P-1091) wire lead are available. Older units that contain an independent 24V relay should have the relay uninstalled. The DH21260K has an integrated 24V relay that replaces the independent relay. See following wiring diagrams for details. This bulletin does not apply to any of the listed models that contain a DSI (direct spark) ignition control package. All DSI packages have been discontinued, and there is no substitute available. Affected users will need to replace the entire burner assembly, or send the existing DSI burner to the factory for retrofit and re-certification with an HSI ignition control package. This conversion cannot be carried out in the field. Please call for details on the DSI to HSI conversion program.
