Editorial notes:These are some easy-to-assemble steel 1-1/4 oz. lead field loads. With plated shot, youwill have some great pheasant loads. The MG42/STS is also a suitable wad for steel shot- though you will need separate special steel shot recipes for those. Lead and steel loadrecipes ARE NOT interchangeable.

You will find that the cushion section of the STS accommodates different shot sizes quitewell. Follow the recommendations of the load closely. Note that a couple of the recipescall for buffer. Use either Ballistic Products Original Buffer or Mix 47 Buffer. Werecommend using an Overshot Card Wad, placed on top of the shot charge, just beforecrimping on all the loads.

The Multi-hull crimps easily. On the first firing, give it some extra time at the crimp startstation to develop a memory in the plastic.

The G209 primers referred to in the data are the primers that come with the Multi-Hulls.

Editorial notes:These are three wads that work really well with the new 12 gauge Multi-Hull. The Trap Commander is an excellent choice for any crossing shotsand typical trap presentations. It will carry an excellent pattern to longerranges. The Helix Cushion Driver 18 is an easy-loading wad, used in thisparticular series of loads for 1-1/4 oz. upland game loads. Combined withplated shot, it will be a favorite to carry along. The Piston Skeet is a long-time favorite of Sporting Clays enthusiasts. The pattern disperses perfectlyfor crossing shots and the wad is suitable for most stations. Combined withone-ounce loads it is devastating!
