FADE IN:

EXT. DIMMSDALE - THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMASPUSH IN ON A GAZEBO where SEVERAL CHRISTMAS CAROLERS sing as big fluffy flakes of holiday SNOW fall around them.

1. CAROLERS(singing) On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree...

CAMERA PANS through the town. The streets and storefronts are ablaze with Christmas lights and decorations. PEOPLE scurry back and forth as they shop.

2. PEOPLE(Scurry Walla)

DISSOLVE TO:EXT. AN ELECTRONICS STORE - SAME TIME

Dozens of TVs are tuned to the same channel. PEOPLE scurry back and forth in front of the display as the camera PUSHES IN on one particular TV.

ON TV - We see our local newscaster CHET UBETCHA.

3. CHET UBETCHAYes, with the partridge in a pear tree crisis over, it’s Christmas time again. Good evening Dimmsdale, it’s Christmas and I’m Chet Ubetcha.

A CITY WORKER hangs LIGHTS on the town CHRISTMAS TREE. THREE KIDS build a SANTA SNOWMAN. TWO OTHER CITY WORKERS paint CANDY CANE STRIPES around streetlight poles.

4. CHET UBETCHA (OS)Yes, Christmas! Better than Easter!More loving than Valentine’s Day! And nowhere near as useless as Arbor Day!

EXT. TOWN SQUARE - THREE BIG STATUES of THE EASTER BUNNY, CUPID and a big TREE GUY are pulled away by ARMY TANKS and replaced with an EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE SANTA STATUE.

..even the bitterest of enemies have put their differences aside...

ON A DOG and a POSTMAN WITH RIPPED PANTS squaring off. The postman hands the dog a wrapped BONE. The dog gives the policeman A NEW PAIR OF PANTS.

6. CHET UBETCHA (cont’d) (os)...as everyone anxiously prepares for the arrival of Santa Claus...

A KID stands on the roof of his house, putting up LANDING LIGHTS and a PARKING SPACE for Santa.

7. CHET UBETCHA I’m Chet Ubetcha saying, I Ho, Ho, Hope you have a Merry Christmas.

PULL BACK to see it was the TV in TIMMY’S LIVING ROOM. TIMMY, dressed as an ELF, stands in the middle of an enormous pile of WRAPPED GIFTS as he finishes wrapping the last one. COSMO and WANDA are nearby as PACKAGES.

8. TIMMY(angrily) Ugh!

9. WANDAWhat’s wrong, Timmy?

10. TIMMYMerry Christmas? I’ll bet he never had to spend Christmas Eve with Vicky!

VICKY enters with a teetering pile of heavy FRUITCAKES.

11. VICKY Hey, Frosty the Snowtwerp, got some more fruitcakes for you to wrap!

She drops the heavy load on Timmy and happily prances OS. Cosmo and Wanda <POOF!> into their normal selves.

12. TIMMYBoy, every Christmas Eve I’m stuck doing whatever Vicky tells me to do.

13. COSMOI know! Remember last Christmas when she sold you and your friends as ice sculptures?

RIPPLE DISSOLVE TO:FLASHBACK - EXT. FREEWAY

The previous Christmas. It’s freezing outside. Vicky stands on the shoulder of a busy FREEWAY, next to a big ‘ICE SCULPTURES FOR SALE’ sign. PULL BACK to see Timmy, CHESTER and AJ - each frozen solid, encased in ice - next to her. DAD pulls up next to the display.

14. DADOooh! I’ll take the Chester and AJ Ice Sculptures! Timmy’ll love these!

Dad hands Vicky a wad of CASH and drives away as Timmy watches helplessly.

15. TIMMY...so cold...

THE ICE SHATTERS AND TIMMY MAKES A BREAK FOR IT.

16. TIMMY I’m free!!!

He doesn’t get two steps when Vicky douses him with water and he freezes solid in a running pose.

17. TIMMY So cold....

RIPPLE DISSOLVE TO:BACK IN TIMMY’S LIVING ROOM

Timmy finishes talking to Cosmo and Wanda.

18. TIMMYMan, every Christmas Eve, my parents are out shopping and I’m stuck here with Vicky.

Timmy looks at the CALENDAR ON THE WALL. PUSH IN ON: DECEMBER 25TH. CHRISTMAS!

19. TIMMYBut it’s worth it. Because tomorrow’s Christmas! The greatest day ever!

POOF! They turn into STOCKINGS hanging on the fireplace. Vicky drives in on a FORKLIFT carrying one HUGE FRUITCAKE. She drops it on Timmy.

21. VICKYThat’s the last one.

22. TIMMYWho are all these gifts for?

Vicky starts tossing Timmy’s previously wrapped fruitcakes into the blazing fire.

23. VICKYNobody! I just like making you work!

Suddenly, a HUGE SHOPPING BAG drops in through the chimney putting out the fire. MOM drops in after it and lands on top. She wears a big TURTLENECK CHRISTMAS SWEATER.

24. MOMMerry Christmas, Timmy!

DAD drops down the chimney, also in a Christmas sweater.

25. DADWe’re HO HO HOME!

26. MOM AND DAD(Laughter)

Mom and Dad stand together and their sweaters form a NEON IMAGE OF A REINDEER HAPPILY FLYING FROM ONE SHIRT TO THE OTHER.

ON VICKY - who instantly turns on the charm.

27. VICKYMerry Christmas, Mr. and Ms. Turner! Is it time for my Christmas bonus?

28. DADYep! This year you get to leave early!

Mom rolls Vicky out the door on a refrigerator DOLLY.

29. MOMBye, Vicky!

Timmy slams the door behind her and nails it shut.

30. TIMMYVicky’s gone!!

31. MOMWhich means it’s time to decorate the house!

Mom reaches over to a BUST OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE, pulls it open, revealing a button. Dad hits the button. Suddenly, hidden panels on the wall, ceiling and floor open and revolve -- a CHRISTMAS TREE and other DECORATIONS spring up from everywhere.

31A. DAD(excited because of eggnog) Hey!

32. TIMMY(sighs happily) All right! Tomorrow’s Christmas! You don’t have to work, or shop or do anything that would make you bring Vicky back here, right?

33. MOMNope! All we have to do tomorrow is be with you, Timmy!

34. DADAnd drink eggnog! (beat) I mean, be with you, Noggy!

DISSOLVE TO:INT. TURNER’S HOUSE - CHRISTMAS MORNING

Timmy is at his window, waiting for something. Outside, it’s still dark.

35. TIMMYCome on... come on... I wish it were morning!

ANGLE ON - OUTSIDE - We see the MOON, the STARS and... as though Timmy were coaching it out of hiding... the sun barely peeks one lightray over the horizon -- BING!

36. TIMMY IT’S CHRISTMAS! IT’S CHRISTMAS! Merry Christmas!

Timmy runs out of his room.

INT. MOM AND DAD’S ROOM - SECONDS LATER

Mom and Dad are sound asleep. Dad lies cuddled up with an empty carton of EGGNOG.

37. DAD(SNORES) Egg (SNORES) Nog...

BAM! Timmy kicks the door open, leaps onto a SPRINGBOARD that’s conveniently near the entrance -- SPROING -- and does an amazing flying body slam onto the bed.

38. TIMMYMERRY CHRISTMAS!

Dad --half-asleep-- whips the carton behind his back.

39. DADMINE! ( beat) I mean MINE...EY CHRISTMAS, Timmy!

40. MOMMerry Christmas, Honey!

41. TIMMYCome on! Come on! Let’s see what Santa brought!

Timmy runs out. Dad follows. Mom looks around, sees the springboard, leaps onto it and flips OS.

CUT TO:INT. LIVING ROOM BALCONY – SAME TIME

Timmy runs up to the railing and looks over the balcony into the living room.

42. TIMMYWhoah! It’s amazing...and I don’t have to share any of this! I love being an only child!

TIMMY’S POV -- The most amazing spread of Christmas gifts in the history of television. Boxes of every size, shape and color fill the entire living room. Basically it’s an ocean - an ocean of toys. Mom and Dad sidle up to Timmy.

43. TIMMY GERONIMO!!!!

Mom smiles at Dad. Dad, thinking Mom is staring at the Eggnog, turns quickly away.

CUT TO:INT. TOY JUNGLE - SAME TIME

The surface of the toys is like the surface of the ocean. The toys go on forever. Timmy comes up to the surface in a TOY SUBMARINE. The hatch pops up; Timmy rises like Robert Duvall in Apocalypse Now, shirtless, wearing a cowboy hat. Cosmo and Wanda, big smiles on their faces, pop in next to him.

45. COSMO/TIMMYI love the smell of Christmas in the morning!

46. WANDADIVE DIVE DIVE!

They all dive into the toys.

INT. WITHIN THE TOY JUNGLE - SAME TIME

INT. TURNER HOUSE - SAME TIME

Timmy is underneath the Christmas tree.

53. TIMMY (VO)...from the North Pole to here!

Timmy paints a big ‘X marks the spot’ under the tree.

54. TIMMY I wish every day could be Christmas! ‘Cause every other holiday reeks! New Year’s Eve’s for Mom and Dad! The Easter Bunny’s Eggs smell really bad! Valentine’s Day always makes me sad!

Dad pops in.

55. DADCause Timmy just can’t get a girlfriend!

56. TIMMYWhat?

ON COSMO AND WANDA

57. COSMOI wish every day could be Christmas! ‘Cuz Nice fairies get their rewards!

58. WANDAI got pudding! I got slacks!

DISSOLVE TO:INT. TIMMY’S BEDROOM - END OF SONG

Mom and Dad tuck Timmy into bed as he sings sleepily. Cosmo and Wanda are in the fishbowl, hearing every note.

66. TIMMY (drifting to sleep) I wish every day could be Christmas! Then I’d get the best gift of all! My parents stay home to say...

67. DAD...we love you, Noggy..!

68. TIMMYI wish every day could be Christmas... (sleepy sounds).. Wouldn’t Christmas each day be the coolest of all...(snore)… I wish it were Christmas each day! (snore, snore)

The snow is deeper. It’s still dark. The sun barely peeks one light-ray over the horizon -- BING!

INT. TURNER HOME - SAME TIME

Timmy is looking out his window.

71. TIMMY IT’S CHRISTMAS! AGAIN!

Timmy runs out of his room! Again!

CUT TO:INT. MOM AND DAD’S ROOM - SECONDS LATER

Mom and Dad are sound asleep. Dad lies cuddled up with an empty carton of EGGNOG. Again.

Timmy flips “MONDAY: DEC. 25th - to “TUESDAY: DEC. 25th”.

77. TIMMYSee?

78. MOM Well...okay.

79. DADThe calendar’s never lied to me yet.

Timmy throws them on the springboard and they flip OS.

INT. BY THE BALCONY RAILING - SAME AS BEFORE

Timmy’s parents land on the railing, on their stomachs, and hang there like wet towels. They look out over the living room and see...

TIMMY’S PARENTS POV - ANOTHER sea of toys covers the living room. Weird!

80. TIMMYSee? Santa came! Again! It’s Christmas! Again!

Timmy puts on a SAFARI HELMET, grabs a FLASHLIGHT and leaps over the railing into the sea of toys.

81. TIMMY GERONIMO! AGAIN!

CUT TO:INT. SEA OF TOYS - SAME TIME

Timmy maniacally unwraps more gifts. Again. Cosmo and Wanda POOF IN.

I’ve never been happier!

Timmy hugs Cosmo and Wanda.

86. TIMMY So... what were you going to say?

87. COSMOUh… (BEAT) DIVE! DIVE! DIVE!

87A. TIMMYGERONIMO!

Timmy happily disappears into the sea of toys. Wanda glares at Cosmo.

88. COSMOWhat? Did you want to say something?

Two grappling HOOKS launch up, grab Cosmo and Wanda by the butt, and drag them down into the toys.

DISSOLVE TO:INT. TIMMY’S BEDROOM - NIGHT (DAY 2)

Dad and Mom tuck Timmy into bed. Timmy wears a SANTA HAT. Cosmo and Wanda are goldfish next to the bed.

The door shuts. Timmy smiles at Cosmo and Wanda who look on with growing unease.

A CALENDAR -- It reads December 25th. A PAGE flies off. The page underneath also reads: December 25th.

INT. MOM AND DAD’S ROOM - CHRISTMAS MORNING DAY 3

Mom and Dad are asleep.

94. TIMMY(psyched) It’s Christmas!

95. MOM/DADAgain?

They wake abruptly as Timmy’s hands yank them out of bed.

It reads December 25th - again. A page flies off - again. The bottom page reads December 25th - again.

EXT. TURNER HOUSE - CHRISTMAS MORNING DAY 4

The snow is now piled up past the first floor windows.

96. TIMMY (OS)(still psyched) It’s Christmas!

INT. TURNER HOUSE - BY THE BALCONY RAILING - SAME TIME

Mom and Dad land by the railing again. Timmy puts on the safari hat and dives over the railing, again.

97. TIMMYGeronimo! Again!

SFX: CRASH!

98. TIMMY OW!

WIDER ON LIVING ROOM - Timmy sits on the floor. He has landed next to an obviously smaller puddle of TOYS.

99. TIMMY Hey! This is a toy puddle! Where’s my toy ocean?

POOF! Cosmo and Wanda appear next to Timmy.

100. WANDAWell, you know, Timmy! I’m sure Santa’s doing the best he can!

101. COSMOHe’s never had to make toys for this many Christmases before!

ON DAD - putting on his COAT - walking to the front door.

102. DADWell, Honey, if we’re going to have a fourth day of Christmas, I have to get more eggnog... again. And I’m good with that!

Dad opens the door. A WALL OF SNOW blocks his way. He walks into the snow wall, then falls backwards as snow pours into the house.

A ST. BERNARD leaps out of nowhere and pulls Dad out of the snowdrift.

103. DADThanks, Lockjaw!

Dad turns the faucet handle on the tiny barrel around the dog’s neck. Eggnog pours out!

104A. DOG(Licky sounds!)

The dog licks dad’s face and we...

THE CALENDAR - It reads December 25th - again. This time, several pages rapidly fly off. The bottom page reads December 25th - again. And again. And again...

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. DIMMSDALE - CHRISTMAS (DAY 15)

CAMERA PANS thru downtown Dimmsdale. EVERY BUILDING’s buried in snow. Snow is still falling. CAMERA STOPS on Dimmsdale City Park, where the Christmas Carolers stand on top of a GAZEBO, which is also buried in snow.

105. CAROLERS(singing unenthusiastically)

It’s the fifteenth day of Christmas and my true love gave to me...(beat - they shrug) ...Pants?

SFX: HONKING HORN - ROARING ENGINE

A city SNOWPLOW barrels past and completely buries the carolers with snow.

ON THE SNOWPLOW - Camera PANS with the snowplow as it lumbers down the street, passing Timmy, who rides a DOGSLED, which is being pulled by Cosmo and Wanda who are disguised as pink and green HUSKIES.

106. COSMOWow, fifteen Christmases and counting.

107. TIMMY(QUESTIONING THE WISDOM)I know. This is the best! Right?!

108. CHET UBETCHA (OS)This is the worst!!!

WIDEN TO REVEAL -- As Timmy stops the dogsled, we’re at the same electronics store from before. The store window is filled with TV’s, all tuned to our newscaster pal, Chet Ubetcha.

109. CHET UBETCHA It’s Ho Ho Horrible!!!

We see that Chet is unkempt, unshaven and unhappy.

110. CHET UBETCHA As Christmas enters its third week, the world screams: ‘Christmas is entering its third week!’

TV SCREEN - A BANK - It’s closed. Mom, Dad and PEOPLE pound on the doors.

111. CHET UBETCHA (OS)Because it’s still Christmas, the banks are still closed!

112. MOM/DAD/PEOPLEWe want money!!

113. DADTo buy Eggnog!

A GROCERY STORE - It’s also closed. Mom, Dad, and people pound on the doors.

114. CHET UBETCHA (OS)Stores are closed!!

115. MOM/DAD/PEOPLEWe want food!!!

116. DADAnd Eggnog! To buy!

ON AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - It’s closed.

117. CHET UBETCHA (OS)And the schools remain closed.

We hear crickets. CHESTER, calmly and coolly, walks by.

118. CHESTERHello, Silver Lining.

We see various people boarding up their chimneys.

119. CHET UBETCHA Everywhere, adults are doing all that they can to prevent yet another visit from Santa...

EXT. MILITARY FIRING RANGE -

120. CHET UBETCHA ...and military forces across the globe remain on high alert.

A SQUADRON of heavily armed TROOPS in TANKS with anti-aircraft guns scan the sky. A GENERAL yells into a WALKIE-TALKIE.

121. GENERALDeploy the decoy chimney!

ANGLE ON - a desert butte. A huge CHIMNEY, bedecked with Christmas lights, rises from a hidden silo in the sand.

122. GENERAL Release the cookies and milk!

A pitcher of MILK and a plate of COOKIES rise up next to the chimney.

123. GENERALEveryone pretend to be asleep!

123A. SOLDIERS(snoring)

The soldiers rip off their uniforms, revealing PAJAMAS underneath. Then they all hit the deck, snoring.

124. SOLDIER #1I hope I get a football!

ON SANTA in his sleigh. He spots the cookies.

125. SANTAMmmm...cookies!

He guides the reindeer towards the chimney.

ON CHIMNEY as it splits open, revealing a massive RADAR-DISH-SHAPED LASER BLASTER that instantly starts firing LASER BEAMS. Santa dodges explosions all around him!

Santa’s sleigh screams off over the horizon.

ON TIMMY, COSMO, WANDA - watching the screen in terror.

ON THE REINDEER PEN -- Santa raises his arms and fires a blast of Christmas Magic at the other holidays!

ON THE EASTER BUNNY AND BABY NEW YEAR -- who hold up Cosmo and Wanda to soak up the blast like two sponges!

Her horse WHINNIES as an army of kids from every corner of the globe appear next to her - ala Braveheart - on the snow cliff. The magnificent sunset shines behind them creating an unbelievably heroic moment. The kids run down the cliffside en masse and encircle the Holidays.

That’s it! That’s how we fix this!(to kids of the world)

Do you know why it’ll be Christmas again tomorrow? Because we keep telling Santa we want some toy, or doll, or some stupid thing. And Christmas day, Santa grants our wishes, whatever they may be.

ON KIDS AS TIMMY SPEAKS. The kids begin to understand - as only kids can - where Timmy is going with this.

272. TIMMY(OS)But if every kid in the world wished for it to be the day after Christmas, that’s what Santa would have to bring to us! December 26th! Everyone write Santa a letter! Tell him you wish it were the day after Christmas!

Every kid pulls out a PENCIL and PAPER and starts scribbling furiously.

272A. KIDSFold! Lick!

MONTAGE

The sun is setting. It starts to get dark as the reprise begins. Timmy sharpens pencils, grabs letters, licks envelopes closed, and throws them in mail sacks. THE REPRISE OF THE SONG BEGINS.

Timmy and the other holidays, acting as a bucket brigade, throw sack after sack of mail into Santa’s workshop.

Cosmo and Wanda are opening the letters and handing them to Mrs. Klaus. She smiles with every letter.

275. TIMMY (VO)It’s the family and friends that I really enjoy.

ANGLE ON WINDOW - The sun sets. Santa walks in and looks at Mrs. Klaus who hands Santa the letters.

276. TIMMY (VO)I wish tomorrow wouldn’t be Christmas. But I wish that the feeling would stay.

ON A CALENDAR - The date reads: “December 25th”. Santa dramatically zaps it with magic and it changes to: “December 26th”. And with all the drama of Moses parting the Red Sea, the magic leaves Santa and pours into his computer.

CUT TO:EXT. KRINGLE INC. HEADQUARTERS - SAME TIME

Magic blasts out of the satellite dish and into the sky.

CUT TO:EXT. FAIRY WORLD - SAME TIME

Dozens of FAIRIES look to the sky as magic rains back down upon them. They dance in the magic rain and change each other into things. You know why? Because they can.

TNT. SANTA’S WORKSHOP - SAME TIME

Timmy shakes hands and hugs the other holidays as he sings.

The snow has stopped and the sun is shining.

INT. MOM AND DAD’S ROOM - SAME TIME

Mom and Dad are asleep. Timmy poofs in over the bed and lands between them.

ANGLE ON SANTA’S SLEIGH - TIMMY- dressed in his elf suit - is hurriedly tossing presents out of a sack and over the side. The Easter Bunny turns to Timmy.

294. EASTER BUNNYHow many houses do we have to hit?

Timmy tosses a pitcher of LEMONADE and several glasses over the side.
