Every year, each class at NHPS creates a poster to celebrate NAIDOC Week. These are displayed in the hall in time for Education Week and Open Day. This is a very enjoyable and engaging way for students to build their knowledge of our shared history, and develop a deeper understanding of the issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people today. This year's theme is Heal Country! This is " a call for all of us to continue to seek greater protections for our lands, our waters, our sacred sites and our cultural heritage." (2021 NAIDOC Week theme announced: Heal Country! | NAIDOC) Take a look at the amazing artworks created by KD, K/1A, 3R, 3/4S and 5/6B. The other class posters will be featured next week!
