26th NATIONAL WORKS & ENGINEERING CONFERENCE

HISTORY

The Municipal Works Operations Association has convened the National Works and Engineering

Conference for the last 25 years. The conference attracts a variety of delegates from around Australia and

is an intricate part of the Local Government sector. The conference has grown to the point of now

selecting the Prince of Wales Showgrounds, Bendigo, as the site for the future. This site offers a Central

Victorian location, an enormous amount of space and the facility also offers on site provisions for live

demonstrations.

OPPORTUNITIES

• Marketing and exhibiting new products

• New Products

• Demonstrations

• Presentations

• Raising Corporte Profile

• Client Networking

• Sales

WHY EXHIBIT?

As part of your company’s marketing mix, exhibitions are about cementing, and reinforcing

business partnerships, where customers can interact with you, your products and services. The

conference will run over the traditional two days, with a program that will offer an interesting and

informative forum for both delegates and sponsors. We will continue with tradition and have the evening

Entertainment and Dinner and offer you some time to address the delegates. The Friday will start off with

a business breakfast, and continues with the speakers and demonstrations, followed by lunch and

Entertainment. We have a good balance of delegates consisting of Works Officers, Parks Officers,

Engineers, Technical Officers, and Contractors, and a very good attendance from our National Affiliated

Associations.

Face to face contact far outweighs the less personal, anonymous associations through on-line and

print marketing.
