The Sakthi Group is a conglomerate of large number of industries and educational institutions. The first business of the group was started in the year 1921 and with almost 100 years of excellence in the field, the group is known for Enterprise, Education and Charity. Ramanandha Adigalar Foundation, established in 1984, runs the following institutions. Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) was founded in the same year, KCT Business School (KCT BS) in 2005, Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture (KIA) in 2014 and Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science (KCLAS) in 2018. The vision of Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam is to deliver education of exception and inspiration and in accordance to this the institutions are dedicated to offer noteworthy educational experience that expands intellectual horizons and builds empowered and conscience students. KCT, KCTBS and KCLAS that share a common premise in Coimbatore draw strength from each other for cross dimensional education gaining integrated knowledge. The institutions are located in the midst of the IT corridor in a sprawling campus of 150 acres. Kumaraguru Institutions offers 19 undergraduate and 15 postgraduate programmes. With more than 850 teaching, research, administrative and support staff, and a dozen Centres of Excellence and industry sponsored labs, the institutions currently serves more than 6500 students. The student run research centres, iQube, Garage and Re along with the industry focused KC.IRI (Kumaraguru Centre for Industry Research and Innovation), TIFAC CORE, CEAD (Centre for Engineering in Advanced Design) and FORGE in Kumaraguru provide an outstanding experiential education to the students while offering consulting services to industries and start-up planning and incubation to alumni and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The Future of Higher Education – Leadership Conclave is planned as a platform for institutions to collectively consider the challenges arising from the evolving technologies, national and global demand for scientific, technological and managerial workforce, the need for innovation in curricula, pedagogy and the development of students and faculty and building partnership with industry and international institutions. The conclave will feature national and global leaders in education, scientific and technological experts from academia and industry, industry leaders from multinational organizations, and representatives from government and the regulatory bodies
