SCHOOL MISSON

1. School Vision, Mission and Motto 1.1. School Vision

We believe every child in our school can have excellent academic result, they can explore their potential and they know grasping the life’s principles and cultivate the virtue.

1.2. School Mission The School is managed under Po Leung Kuk’s school system. Owing to the uniqueness of our teaching and learning environment, the school preserves its own curriculum and teaching methodology. The mission of the School is to provide a quality education that develops confident children. We are now running the school under the Direct Subsidy Scheme for the fifth year. With better resources, we aim to offer an excellent learning environment and ideal facilities to enhance effective and enjoyable learning, and new initiatives will be adopted to enhance learning and teaching. We provide various learning experience and opportunities to encourage our children to develop their potential.

2. SWOT Analysis

2.1. Our Strengths Good language skills; Good manpower resources; Flexibility in curriculum; Open communication among teachers and between teachers and; Good teamwork spirit; Good result in SSPA; Employment of Co-teaching which is unique in primary schools; Comparatively low school fee; The only EMI school in Tuen Mun; Strong and united teaching team; Good learning environment;

2.2. Our Weaknesses Limited spaces; Old building, old facilities; Lack of knowledge on SEN students; Discipline need to be improve; Result in Chinese subject still have rooms to improve; Students’ self management and self discipline skills are low; Need more professional development; Chinese subject curriculum for NCS is still under development; Students are too self-centered, irresponsible; Students are weak in Mathematics; Not enough promotion to attract international students from kindergarten.

2.3. Our Opportunities The only EMI primary school in Tuen Mun; Good reputation by promoting students’ awards; Increasing number of Primary one admission; More students from the mainland may raise PTH standard; Overall number of students is increasing; Use of technology, IT equipment and IT skills in teaching; Promoting culture exchange; Promote our school by holding different activities; TSA result is better than previous years; Our students have better chances to get into good school as there are excess secondary school places; More competitions within school.
