International Business involves trade in goods and services, as well as other operations such as manufacture and marketing of goods and services in foreign nations
India is the 7th largest economy in the world and the fastest growing. As per Goldman Sachs report, it is poised to be second largest economy by 2050
The Indian economy is largely resilient to external pressures and is expected to grow around 7.5% in 2019 according to Moody's Investors Service
According to RBI, India's total foreign exchange (Forex) reserves stand at US$405.1434 billion with foreign exchange assets (FCA) component at US$380.0499 billion, gold reserves at US$21.1399 billion, SDRs (Special Drawing Rights with the IMF) of US$1.4796 billion upto July 2018

India attracted USD 22 billion of FDI flows in the first half of 2018, according to a UN report and managed to make it to the top 10 host economies receiving the most FDI during the period
International trade accounts for 54% of India’s GDP. It is the 9th largest commercial importer
India’s major items of exports include engineering products, chemicals and related products, textiles and garments, gems and jewelry, agriculture and allied products, crude oil and petroleum products, capital goods, pearls, electronic goods
India had a great year in terms of mergers and acquisitions in 2018, and the same trend could continue till 2019. The total amount for transactions involving Indian companies is expected to cross $100 billion again in 2019, according to PwC India

Economic Forecast – India
The outlook for India’s economy should be bright in the future. Growth of real GDP will be about 6.6% per year by the middle of the next decade
The GDP Annual Growth Rate for the first quarter of 2019 is expected to be 7.5% and drop down to 6.4% by 2020, according to World Bank
The unemployment rate is expected to be 3.6% in 2019 and would continue to be the same by 2020.
Every month, the work force increases by 1.3 million people and India must create 8.1 million jobs a year to maintain its employment rate

Cumulative value of exports for the period April-June 2018-19 was US$ 82.47 Billion (Rs 552781.61 crore) as against US $72.21 Billion (Rs 465472.04 crore) registering a positive growth of 14.21 per cent in Dollar terms and 18.76 per cent in Rupee terms over the same period last year.
Cumulative value of imports for the period April-June 2018-19 was US$ 127.41 Billion (Rs. 854096.98 crore) as against US$ 112.26 Billion (Rs. 723631.11 crore) registering a positive growth of 13.49 per cent in Dollar terms and 18.03 per cent in Rupee terms over the same period last year.

Program was accredited in the year 2017 for a period of 3 years by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), a body of AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India
Open to students from India and abroad including Non-Resident Indians (NRI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) and Foreign Nationals (FN) within the intake of 60 seats
Conducted in six trimesters of 10-12 weeks each, spread over a period of two years

The subjects chosen for this program are a judicious blend of foundation core courses, key courses in functional areas and advanced level courses within the area of international Business
Each trimester has 7-8 full credit subjects, requiring 30-45 hours of class work/ tutorial each
In the third trimester, Export-Import Policy and Imports Management are covered in depth as a subject, in addition to the common first year subjects
Fourth and Fifth Trimesters consist of 7-8 full credit subjects each with a mix of core and specialization subjects
Sixth trimester consists of 5-6 subjects. Students are required to choose one foreign language from either of Mandarin or Spanish, which is taught throughout the program
