OFFICER
The City of Carrollton is accepting applications for the position of Building Inspector / Code En-forcement Officer. The successful applicant must be a graduate of a standard high school, vocationalschool, or the equivalency, supplemented by experience in inspecting buildings and building con-struction work, or any combination of training and experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities. Successful applicant must obtain the Kentucky Building Code Certified Building Inspector-Level I certification within three years after appointment. Must have a working knowledge of blueprints, construction plans and specifications, approved methods and materials in building construction, and knowledge of skilled trades such as carpentry, concrete specs, plumbing, and electrical installa-tion, and must possess a valid driver’s license. The salary range is from $27,460 [$13.20/hr] to $43,936 [21.12/hr]. Excellent benefits package. HIM Manager - Full TimeWe are seeking a Health Information Management Director for a 25-bed critical access hospital in Carrollton, KY. The HIM Director will be responsible for coordinating health
information management services throughout the facility. The HIM Director will lead, plan, direct and manage the
HIM department and staff to assure quality service.
Responsibilities include: directing health information services; ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and standards related to health information
and coding principles; developing policies and procedures; providing health information related education and
training to facility employees; working with medical and facility staff on task forces and committees; and serving as
an internal consultant in areas such as documentation, privacy, security, and other areas of health
information practice.
Requires a minimum of a 2 year degree in HIM. RHIT or RHIA certification is preferred. Minimum of two years
management experience in a hospital setting. Needs to be proficient in coding and have successful management and
project management experience; be knowledgeable of federal and state laws and standards of practice; have the
ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; understand information systems, healthcare, data
base and report writing software.
