NOT TOOSCARY
Culture Shock CommunityProject’s 13 Nights ofHalloween are back.
The yearly fest findsCulture Shock teamingup with various groups —
everyone from the Willamette Art Center to the Occult and ParanormalHouse of Investigational Research —to bring all kinds of Halloween fun. There are events both scary and non-scary, costumed and noncostumed, drag queened and nondrag queened.
So it can be a little overwhelming.Happily, like snowflakes, no two 13Nights events are quite alike ... and sowe can coldly and ruthlessly catego-rize them for your planning purposes.
Note: This flowchart is in no wayimplying that you should only go toone of the 13 Nights events. No, no,no! The beauty of this series is itsextreme, uh, cheapness: Nearly allthe events are free.
Per usual, the events benefit vari-ous nonprofits, including SalemFriends of Felines (Hallo-Queen Bin-go); Marion-Polk Food Share(Skatemare Before Christmas derbybout); Salem-Keizer EducationalFoundation (Monster Ball DodgeballTournament) and Women EndingHunger (the 5K Monster Dash FunRun).
