LITURGY

LIVE STREAMING All Live Streaming Masses may be watched throughout the day.

www.stmarych.com.

COVID 19 PRECAUTIONS All are asked to please continue wearing masks while attending Mass. We also ask that you cooperate with the Ushers who are seating you for Mass so we may be able to fit everyone in the Church. Our present capacity has not changed; 150 in Church and 75 in the Parish Hall, keeping with the social distancing requirements.

DAY OF ADORATION Our monthly Day of Adoration at St. Mary Church is the first Thursday of the month. The next Day of Adoration is scheduled for Thu, July 2, 7:30 AM till 6:00 PM. The intention for the day is for the protection of our religious freedom. All are welcome!

1ST FRIDAY & 1ST SATURDAY All are welcome to attend St. Mary First Friday and First Saturday Masses July 3 and 4, at 7 AM.

On 1st Fridays of every month there is Mass followed by a short exposition of the Blessed Sacrament with Sacred Heart Devotion. On 1st Saturdays of every month there is 7:00 AM Mass with Immaculate Heart of Mary Devotions.

LITURGICAL MINISTERS’ SCHEDULE The July and August Liturgical Minister’s Schedule has been mailed. You are reminded to find your own replacements if you are unable to fulfill your scheduled time. Phone lists can be picked up in the Conference Room. Thank you for your continued stewardship of time and talent to St. Mary Church.

ROSARY AND NOVENA The rosary is recited at St. Mary every Friday morning before the 7:00 AM Mass. Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary is recited on Thursdays after the 7:00 AM Mass.

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

Confirmation for our High School Juniors will be this Tuesday. While it is not a public Mass due to CoVid19, we still ask that you pray for all of our candidates receiving the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit (wisdom, knowledge, understanding, good counsel, piety, fortitude and fear of the Lord). Let us pray that they will allow God to form them into all that He created them to be and that God will be able to use them as His instruments in the world according to His Will. Let us also pray that their faith will be strong throughout their life against the temptation that lead people to fall away from their faith. May God bless our candidates and their families! CRAFT Activities have begun for our families with children. This will continue for the next few weeks. We ask that the participating families pick up their packets at the bulletin board near the conference room in the hallway near the church restrooms. Personal Daily Missals – since we are not able to have missalettes in the pews, Acadian Religious has plenty of both monthly missals and the permanent personal daily missals. You can purchase either and bring them with you during this time when we cannot have missalettes in the pews. This would allow you to have the readings for daily and weekend Masses. Masks – since our Governor has postponed Phase 3 and because of the spike in CoVid cases locally, we are asking that you once again become STRICT about wearing your face masks during all Masses – weekday and weekend.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

2ND COLLECTION The 2nd collection next weekend is for St. Mary Capital Improvement. We thank you for your continued generosity to St. Mary Mother of the Church.

THANK YOU A special thank you goes out to our Flower Bed Ministry volunteers. The beds around St. Mary are looking beautiful. Thank you also to Jim and Betty Venable and John Melancon for pressure washing our sidewalks and parking lot. All volunteers are much appreciated. God bless you.

LAFAYETTE COMMUNITY STRING ORCHESTRA All are welcome to attend the Lafayette Community String Orchestra Concert, Sunday, July 12, 2:00 PM, at St. Mary Church. Social distancing and personal masks are encouraged while in the Church.

PRAYER TO END CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC Pope Francis

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith.

You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection.

We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas—we who are put to the test — and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
