school&students&were&not&only&presented&with&

The&Metro&Institute&of&Technology&is&a&new&high&school&being&piloted&by&Metro&in&the&fall&of&2015.&&MIT&is&a&5Byear&program&that&will&allow&students&the&opportunity&to&earn&an&Associate’s&Degree&as&well&stackable&job&credentials.&&Students&will&be&able&to&work&in&4&career&areas:&

1. Manufacturing&2. Information&Technology&3. Computer&Science&4. Medical&Technician&

MIT&will&utilize&the&same&core&

Metro&Middle&School&first&opened&its&doors&in&the&fall&of&2013&to&approximately&125&students.&&This&fall,&2014,&the&school&expanded,&adding&nearly&175&students,&to&reach&its&capacity&of&300&students&in&grades&6B8.&&The&middle&school&curriculum&offers&students&a&wide&variety&of&programming&options&that&allow&students&to&explore&their&interests&and&truly&connect&with&material.&&The&middle&school&staff&is&also&preparing&students&for&success&at&the&high&school&level&by&incorporating&advisory,&study&skills,&and&the&Metro&habits&that&allow&students&to&be&successful.&&Metro&Middle&School&students&demonstrated&success&through&activities&such&as&the&Future&City&Competition,&First&Lego&League,&and&earning&high&school&credit!&
