There is a great potential to use wind energy, particularly on the coastline and offshore, which is now recognised in official circles. Estimates for the technical capacity for wind power range from 1,500 MW upwards according to different sources.

� The wind farms currently operating or under construction are:

� Mitaki Project– 20 No 2.5 MW Fuhrlander turbines (under construction) owned by Caspian Management

� Sitalcaj Project – 4 No 900kW Powerwind 56 turbines (under construction) and owned by Trans T S

� Alten Group Project – 4 No 2MW Gamesa turbines installed in 2011 and owned by Alten Group

The Pilot Project which consists of two V52 wind turbines manufactured by Vestas

Deutchland GmbH as the The project site is located in 55th km of Baku-Guba highway.

Due to correct site selection, the project was completed in a very short time of 8 months.

Pilot Project has 35 KV grid connection which provides transfer of green energy.

The project is able to produce 6,5 mln. energy per year, thus is to save 2 mln.m3 gas.

� Establishment of ABEMDA

� Established Experimental Polygon and Training Center in Gobustan for researches of local gridconnections with global electricity networks

� 13.09.2011: President Đlham Aliyev participated in opening seremony of Experimental Polygon and Training Center

� Total area: 38 ha

� Installed wind turbines: 3 X 0,9 megawatt = 2.7megawatt

� Solar panels park: 1,8 megawatt

� Biomass equipment: 1 megawatt

� Other equipments: Regulatory equipments, water reservouar, test area, workshop.

Dispatcher center: There is opportunity of testing the equipments and experiments studies in established center. Management of polygon and training Center carried out in Dispatcher center.

Freeze camera - Capacity:330 cubic meter, +5 / - 5 C.Installed lightning system and greenhouse works on
