14th Annual Godwin Wong Business Plan Competition, 2012 OBJECTIVE To foster the spirit of entrepreneurship, and to encourage entrepreneurial ventures/activities among the students and graduates. ELIGIBILITY Each plan must be submitted by a group of TWO to FOUR participants. Partners can come from inside or outside of GSOM SPbU. SCHEDULE The award ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012. All final complete written plans should be submitted by November 19, 2012.Those who are interested to participate in the competition should register their intention with GSOM SPbU ([email protected]). PRIZES First prize will be: US$2000; second prize: US$1250; third prize: US$750 (courtesy of Prof. Godwin Wong, US$2500, and The Center for Entrepreneurship, US$1500). This year three nominations were established: “Best business plan in the sphere of social entrepreneurship” – €1500 (courtesy of Fund of regional social programs “Our Future”), “Best work on the preservation of the Earth’s ecology and reduction of energy consumption” – US$1000 (courtesy of CJSC “NPF Teplocom”), “Most creative business plan” – €1000 (courtesy of self-dependent Internet portal for small enterprises “Volokita.net”). Besides, there will be Certificates of Recognition for all participants. FORMAT All plans shall be submitted in English, in both printed copy and electronic copy. Whereas any format is accept- able, it is recommended that there should be at least the following: Venture Idea, Market Research, Competitive Advantage, Ownership, Financials, Financing, Marketing, Management, Human Resources, Growth/Exit, and other parts, as appropriate. Besides, all Competition participants should prepare short business plan presenta- tion in English.
