TRANSCRIPT

Keep it short and sweet.

Twitter has a limit of 140 characters per post.

If you can’t say it within the limit, DON’T say it!

Think before you speak…

Think about the

message

TAKE INTO

ACCOUNT…

• Consider the consequences of

your message.

• Think about the message you

want to convey.

2009: CONSUMERS’

PERCEPTIONS OF

TWITTER

Is this my opinion or is this

someone else’s opinion?

Is the message easy enough to understand?

Is this opinion valid?

Content tips – Making the most out of

your post

Avoid ambiguous statements – Make it clear!

Praise only where it is due – Do not use flattery

Keep it PG – Your family and clients can read your Tweets

• Keep in mind that Tweets cannot be deleted

• Using someone else’s quote?

• Acknowledge them

• Do not discriminate

• If you are not funny, don’t act funny

And finally…Remember

the truth can hurt even if

it is the truth.
