Day 1 Thursday 10th September Fly Gold Coast to Adelaide Snack on flight/Dinner Pack your bags & meet your Tour Leader as you board your Simes Bros Coach in various Northern Rivers locations, for the drive to Gold Coast Airport to join your flight to Adelaide. Arrive in Adelaide mid-afternoon & take a short drive to the Clare Valley for a 2 night stay. Mingle with your fellow travellers at pre-dinner drinks at your accommodation. Day 2 Friday 11th September Clare Valley Sight-Seeing B’fast/Lunch/Dinner First this morning, we take a drive to the historic copper mining town of Burra. Here we view the beautiful, well-preserved buildings & take a tour at the Bon Accord Mining Museum. After lunch we visit Sevenhill Cellars for a guided wine tasting. After tasting, explore the Winery Museum & the Underground Cellar, which is still used to store fortified wines. Sevenhill was established in 1851 when the Jesuits, who settled in the area, planted vines to produce sacramental wine. Take some time to wander through stately St Aloysius' Church which has the only crypt below a parish church in Australia, which is the final resting place for 41 Jesuits. Day 3 Saturday 12th September Adelaide-Port Lincoln B’fast/Lunch/Dinner Today we travel to Port Pirie for The Outside The Gates tour which will take you outside the gates of Nyrstar Multi Metals Smelter to showcase how Port Pirie's largest industry has shaped the city. The tour showcases sites of historical significance & local interest. Hear amazing stories, from the children's playground built in a day, to how the Bridge to Nowhere received its quirky nickname. We continue on through Port Augusta & Whyalla to our home for the next 3 nights, Port Lincoln. Port Lincoln on South Australia’s Southern Eyre Peninsula, is home to the country’s largest commercial fishing fleet, a diverse aquaculture industry & is undoubtedly a seafood lover’s paradise. Day 4 Sunday 13th September Port Lincoln B’fast/Lunch/Dinner Today, we enjoy a full day tour in this part of South Australia, famed for its spectacular & diverse coastal scenery. From rugged cliffs to white sandy beaches & massive sand dunes to rock pools, you won’t be able to put your camera away. Visit Lincoln National Park which, with its vast sand dunes, rugged offshore islands & secluded white sandy beaches, featuring some of the most scenic coastline in South Australia. On the 14 km scenic drive along Whalers Way, learn about the history of the region. Not only will you be seeing the region, you’ll be tasting it with the seafood from these waters, some of the most sought-after in the world. On our Port Lincoln day tour, ‘Tasting Eyre’, we’ll give you a chance to taste the produce from the ocean to the vineyards. Lovers of wildlife will be thrilled by the koalas at Mikkira Station & abundant native wildlife such as kangaroos, emus & bird life. If you’re lucky, you may even see some seals & sea lions sun bathing on the rocks at Cape Wiles. Day 5 Monday 14th September Port Lincoln B’fast/Lunch/Dinner Coffin Bay is Australia’s premier oyster growing destination & this half-day tour combines the best local produce, meet the suppliers experiences, stunning coastal scenery & wildlife, giving you a real ‘taste’ of the region. Take a drive through Coffin Bay National Park to visit some of the stunning beaches. Day 6 Tuesday 15th September Port Lincoln-Adelaide B’fast/Lunch/Dinner This morning we depart Port Lincoln & retrace our journey, stopping at Hummock Hill in Whyalla, through Port Augusta to Adelaide, Australia’s only planned State Capital. Day 7 Wednesday 16th September Adelaide Sight-Seeing B’fast/Dinner This morning we’ll have a guided tour of this beautiful, planned city. See Adelaide Oval, South Australia Botanic Garden, Adelaide Town Hall & Festival Hall. Hear an informative commentary about the planning of Adelaide. After the tour we’ll take a drive to Glenelg, Adelaide's most popular city beach, offering a buzzing vibe & great atmosphere for all to enjoy. This afternoon enjoy a delightful cruise along the Torrens River. Day 8 Thursday 17th September Adelaide Surrounds B’fast/Lunch/Dinner First today we make our way to Mount Lofty Summit, the majestic peak of the Mount Lofty Ranges in the Adelaide Hills, provides spectacular panoramic views across Adelaide's city skyline to the coast. Next we visit Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement which still has a strong German flavour most evident in the smallgoods outlets, bakeries, pubs, restaurants & cafes that line the bustling main street. Our last stop this morning is the Whispering Wall which is in fact the retaining wall of the Barossa Reservoir. Built between 1899 & 1903, the dam was a revolutionary engineering feat for its day & attracted attention from all over the world, even making its way into the pages of the journal Scientific American. But why is it so named? Our lunch venue today is the historic Seppeltsfield Estate. Seppeltsfield combines over 420 acres of ancient vineyard, gardens & heritage-listed architecture. After lunch, we join an estate guide for a behind the scenes look through the estate’s treasure trove of historical buildings & spectacular surroundings. 16 days/15 nights

Day 9 Friday 18th September Adelaide-Kangaroo Island B’fast/Lunch/Dinner We leave the Clare Valley this morning & travel through McLaren Vale, another premier wine region to Cape Jervis to board the ferry across to Kangaroo Island, arriving at our American River accommodation late in the afternoon. Day 10 Saturday 19th September Kangaroo Island B’fast/Lunch/Dinner After breakfast, we travel to famous Seal Bay to join our guide for a walk through a wild seal colony that is home to around 600 rare Australian sea lions. We then enjoy an amazing interactive, educational & highly entertaining display at the Raptor Domain 'Birds of Prey’ Show. Our lunch today is at ‘Frogs N Roses’, a well-stocked nursey hosting a cosy, stone cottage café, indulging in the sweet smell of fresh native flowers. After lunch you may like to browse the nursery gardens on the banks of the Cygnet River. After lunch we visit SA’s first sheep dairy & cheese factory - Island Pure Sheep Dairy where we witness sheep being milked & taste some of their world class dairy products. Our tour then travels to the picturesque surroundings of the Bay of Shoals Winery to taste some of their quality wines & admire the distant vistas of the North Cape & postcard views of Bay of Shoals. Day 11 Sunday 20th September Kangaroo Island B’fast/Lunch/Dinner This morning after breakfast, we travel west to Flinders Chase National Park. Our first stop is the Visitor Centre before travelling through the natural rugged beauty of the park to spectacular Remarkable Rocks. We travel on to Cape du Couedic Lighthouse, built in 1906 & the natural land bridge that is Admirals Arch where we will see Long-nosed Fur Seals. We travel to Vivonne Bay Bistro for our lunch before witnessing spectacular views of the Southern Ocean at Point Ellen & Vivonne Bay (named Australia’s best beach). In the afternoon we’ll visit the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, home to over 150 species of Native Australian wildlife & over 600 animals! Day 12 Monday 21st September Kangaroo Island-Loxton B’fast/Lunch/Dinner After breakfast, we depart American River with a scenic drive to Penneshaw then board the ferry to Cape Jervis. From Cape Jervis we travel across the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula & see some spectacular coastal views as we arrive into Victor Harbor with some free time to explore this pretty town. Our tour continues through Murray Bridge to Loxton on the southern bank of the Murray River. Day 13 Tuesday 22nd September Loxton-Griffith B’fast/Lunch/Dinner We continue our journey, stopping at another Murray River town, Mildura, with its many paddle steamers & house boats. Next stop is Balranald where you have time to explore the award-winning Discovery Centre. We travel on to our overnight destination of Griffith, designed by noted architect Walter Burley Griffin in the early 20th century as part of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Scheme. Day 14 Wednesday 23rd September Griffith-Katoomba B’fast/Dinner Today we stop for a cuppa at West Wyalong with its bendy main street. We travel on through Forbes to our lunch stop at Parkes, home to the annual Elvis Festival. Our afternoon sees us travelling through the Central West towns of Orange & Bathurst to Katoomba, our home for tonight. Day 15 Thursday 24th September Katoomba-Forster B’fast/Lunch/Dinner We spend some time this morning on an orientation tour of Katoomba & surrounds then on to Echo Point, with views of the beautiful Three Sisters, for morning tea. We then travel along the Great Western Hwy before joining the Pacific Motorway for the trip to Forster in the stunning Manning Valley. Day 16 Friday 25th September Forster-Northern Rivers B’fast/Lunch After packing our bags for the final time, we continue northwards with a cuppa stop at Taree, lunch in the Coffs Harbour area, then farewelling our new friends with many memories of our wonderful holiday to South Australia.
